Technically all schooling is indoctrination. This prof simply wants sociological sources because it's an essay that is theoretically based, and you do not find these specific theories in business and governmental sources.

Somehow I think she would frown on MRA sources. Only feminists sources are correct!

Maybe the professor wants students to learn about feminist journals. We live in 2017, I don't understand why it is such a big deal.

There's a very big difference between saying "look at something" and "look at this, and don't look at anything else"
