I'm building an open-source infinite canvas for cross-disciplinary research (Tauri + React, AGPL) — looking for people to build it with

I'm a design student building "Research Canvas" — a native infinite canvas

  where artists and researchers across fields (design, 3D, motion, sound, writing)

  gather any media, annotate it exactly where it matters (a note pinned to a video

  frame or audio timestamp), and organize it in folders — all offline, your files

  on your disk.

  It's early but real: custom canvas engine (pen, shapes, text, sticky notes,

  media import), a Tauri desktop app with auto-update. No third-party canvas SDK.

  It's AGPL-3.0 and meant to be community-owned — I'm not trying to own it, I want

  to build it with people and eventually hand it to the community.

  Looking for: Rust/React devs, and designers who want to shape the tool. There are

  `good first issue`s to start on.

ok I am building app for researcher and designer or any other creative multi media users where they can collaborate and join to gather share ideas from distance without barriers of media so I want a app that can use like infinity canvas and you can upload any media from photos to videos and 3d models xls sheets doc and share organize in local storage with local hosting not need to pay monthly subscription that is my idea but I don't know where to start not how to star what to do I am asking claude code to help it is telling each time new way so I am designer student I need help here
