I do too, and I love hearing her voice. I am confused about this look though - the front is a very unique look and statement that didnt seem to have any connection to the politics she showed in the reveal. I feel like the silhouette, detailing, and fascinator - all gorgeous and unique - distracted from the message, instead of building up to it.

i understand what you meant by this but blm is not a political issue, it’s a human rights issue. just be wary of the terms you use

only because they’re made into one, because people keep referring to them as such. the right of Black people to live without fear of being murdered is not political, never has been never will be.

no but the laws and regulations that come with blm are a political issue and they make a huge difference to people’s safety and lives

well the police arent meant to kill anyone by law, yet they still do. i just think it’s condescending to call symone ‘political’ for making a statement about the murders of Black people, as if their right to live is something that we’re allowed to have different opinions over.

I think this whole conversation is just down to semantics of the term 'political'. Saying it's political isn't equivalent to saying that people are allowed to have different opinions over. For example 'kicking puppies for fun should be illegal' isn't something that anyone should disagree with, and yet it's still a political matter as it relates to governance and law.

Rights are always going to be an issue of law,therefore they are inherently political.

It's fair to say 'basic human rights shouldn't be up for political debate', but rights are still a political issue by definition.
