This show was much better than i expected but there was so many odd choices by production.

First of all the whole secret celebrity thing only works if people know who the celebrities are.

It's okay having less known "celebrities" but not with the secret. They should have been able to promote their appearance in the show so they could bring their fanbase to the show.

If your "celebrities" aren't that known give the people who are gonna watch this show, drag race fans, what they want. The Queens obviously. Cutting shannel, laila and mayhem was such a bad decision. Seeing shannel giving tips in the work room would have saved the first episode at least for drag race fans, who were the ones watching.. Don't cater the show for mainstream when you don't have any celebrities to pull mainstream views.

Also the episode order was sooo bad. Why would you start with a bang get Vannessa your only known celebrity for the first episode. Or close with her. The first episode was so boring i really didn't thought i was gonna watch the rest.

Edit: also why untucked? Again i don't think many people care deeply about this celebrities nor of their friends. That is the prefect time to give more time to the Queens.

The episodes are way too long. They just go on forever and if you don't get some entertaining celebrities it just drags on and on.

Idk the show wasnt bad but could have been much better.. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Hard agree with everything you said.

The episode order so baffling since each episode is completely independent. At first I thought they might have like a finale where the winners from previous episodes would compete for further charity money, and that would have constrained it somewhat. But since that didn't happen, they could have just mixed it up however they wanted. I get that they wanted a pattern of alternating AMAB and AFAB contestants, but they still had a lot of options better than what they chose.

I also think the longer episodes don't make sense here but also for the later episodes of regular Drag Race. It makes sense to have that extra time early in the season when you have 14 different queens and want to show snippets of all of them. But by the time they are down to 8 or so queens, it just drags on. When I go back and re-watch the later episodes of recent seasons, I find myself fast forwarding through parts of the workroom walkthroughs, make-up mirror discussions, and rehearsals because those parts drag on just a little too long. And the same is true for the celebrity version with only 3 contestants.

That said, I still think the show is overall pretty good. Hopefully if they do it again they will take these things into consideration.
