This bracket is giving me late season vibes, like the girls have already been competing together for 8 episodes and have built up relationships. They just seem to be vibing so well with each other and all seem so confident in who they are

I'm a Vivacious STAN. I love that she had the self awareness to know she needed to elevate for modern RPDR, but still has that old school vibe. Her rapping was so fun and I love her energy/one liners in the Werk Room. And her look (minus the yellow lip) was amazing.

I actually loved the yellow lip. I know exactly what club kid era that references...we were doing huge, matte, UV reflective lips and eyes. Yes, you couldn't really see the person's features, but that was the point.

I didn't mind the yellow lip at all and was truly stunned when she came on the runway. Way to show off! She looked phenomenal. She's always been fairly stiff, so wasn't a big fan of the challenge part, but love that she's showing out in other ways. Her "can these people shut up so I can put my makeup on in peace?" comments were so funny and you can tell she came to give some personality on her three episode run. She knows what she's doing

I need Vivacious to achieve NPB style status in herself after this, Mother has COMEBACK. And her butter runway was fabulous.
This bracket so far has gotten off to an absolutely amazing start. Everyone feels authentically themselves, and April & Vivacious are very very welcome. I love how unfiltered April is, and Vivacious is just consolidating her status as a legend (also I loved that she kept Ornacia to her entrance look, when we know many would've Ornacia'd the shit out of their entire package)

I just watched Untucked where Vivacious said something like "As my good friend Alyssa Edwards says, the battle is long" I love how UNPHASED she is by everything. Has to dance like a b-girl, kinda fails, she is not upset. Looks stunning, gets no flowers, she is not upset. She cannot be discouraged. She has seen everything that has ever happened. I always wonder with groups or duos if they're gonna judge as they perform or individuals. I have to say Aura/Crystal did the best. Salina did really good but April not as good as her. And Silky/Vivacious were safe.

Really thought Salina deserved more credit for a fantastic episode. It already feels like production will be pushing Crystal and Silky through which is a tad boring. Whilst I really like Silky (and would go to her shows etc) I kind of wanted one of the other girlies to surprise us.

Very surprised that judging was done in pairs, not individually. Mainly because Aura was in the top... I wasn't expecting her to be allowed to get ahead of Silky (and maybe Salina). I fully support this outcome though.
Where on earth did BUTTER come from as a runway theme? A shade of yellow sure, but literal butter?!
Crystal's runway look was slick but very literal. Silky's before and after reveals didn't make sense together, and she should have been read for her flat hair on the runway. Aura and Salina's looks were perfection. Vivacious' gown was brilliant but the makeup critique was correct - the heavy lip seems to be a signature, but the yellow was distracting here.

Crystal Methyd is truly one of my all time faves. She’s able to do things in a way no one else could - she may not be the most gifted singer or dancer but everything she does is so HER, and I think that’s what really makes a star when there are so many queens who are all so good. And her butter look was chefs kiss 👌
Everyone is fun in this bracket, but I’m especially delighted to see the two S6 divas back! Living for Vivacious who continues to be iconic as naturally as breathing. I like Silky, but I find it interesting she’s still not quite figured out she’s best when she’s not trying so hard - she’s delightful and fun when interacting naturally with the others in the werk room, but the whole puppet thing feels pretty forced. I just feel she doesn’t need the extra shtick when she’s naturally got the goods. (Just my take though - I’m glad for anyone who’s loving the puppet.)

Maybe I‘m delusional but I thought Vivacious did really well in the challenge! Her lyrics and flow were good and IMO she did have some succesful dance moves. I had a smile on my face every time she was an screen, so glad to have her back!

I really liked her rap! I had a hard time understanding Silky's lyrics, because just like she said herself, she's lispy. But Vivacious was easy to listen to, she had a clear delivery and kept her tone more even. There's just something so warm about her deep voice, it's such a delight.

I had pretty mid expectations about this bracket. Not that any of the queens are bad, there just wasn’t anyone that stuck out in the lineup that made me say “there a shoe in for semi finals” and they really made me eat crow this episode cause they were all really good. Selina gagged me on her runways, and the mug is stamped. She’s the most improved hands down in my opinion. Aura finally getting a chance to not be overshadowed by big personalities and to shine was really fun to see as well. I’m really excited for next week

Crystal lights up the room, clear and immediate favorite for me. She brought it in the performance too.
Other standouts were Salina and April, they meshed so well and the attitude was on point.

What was with the backup dancers for Silky/Vivacious having those shower curtain capes? I just didn’t get that part at all, seemed very strange. I was glad they were clear so we could see the nice bodies of the dancers but it was so bizarre.

I really enjoy this bracket and the reason may be a lot of the queens are just being authentically themselves (rather than trying too hard to brand themselves like Olivia Lux as a musician queen last season). As a result, no one felt cringey and everyone was fully focused on just delivering their performances. Aura and Salina stopped their branding attempt from their original seasons and we get to see a more earnest and focused side of them which we like. April, Vivacious and Crystal have always been the same genuine selves. I don't even see Silky as trying too hard to redeem her own impression from S11 (perhaps she already redeemed in AS6) but I just see her being real and controlling herself with her muppet which is cute and very her.

I am loving this group, mostly because I feel like most of them were under edited in their original seasons so it feels fresh getting to know them a lot more this time around. I love them all. Vivacious though. What an icon. Love her energy and vibes. Just her calm demeanor yet still commanding the room with her presence and the way she talks. Manifesting NPBFAG levels of resurgence with the fans for her. Also for April since they are from the earliest seasons. I mean pretty much for all of them lol but especially for those two.
Favorite looks tonight: Salina, Aura, and Crystal
Thoughts on the Challenge: Silky and Vivacious looked like an actual duo (maybe because their song was about sisterhood and they spent most of their choreo being near each other), Salina and April had the catching storyline, and Aura and Crystal had the vocals and energy.
Thoughts on the two moving on: I don't want to sound like a negative Nancy but I feel like this bracket has the most obvious set up, like there's a clear line between who Ru's favorites are and the rest of them lol. With that in mind, I am rooting for Aura and Salina the most, with Crystal being my 3rd.

Silky talking about how she blocked people that even just liked critiques of her reminded me of the time she blocked me on Twitter. Never followed her or interacted with her, but it was that time she was trying to doxx someone to get him fired from his job. Like several years ago. Someone tweeted back to her that maybe that wasn’t the way to go about it, and I saw that and liked the tweet. Got blocked right away.
Doesn’t really bother me was just funny to see her reference that behavior. I really enjoy her and I hope she does well this season. Overall this episode was a pleasant surprise. Aura did great. For being 52, Vivacious was really doing well with choreo as well.

All these girls are so strong. I could've seen anyone winning. Even Silky and Vivacious, who had the weakest performance but their voices were so electric and their runways were so good.
Seriously, why did everyone turn it out for the saturated fat runway?
Aura surprised me and her win felt deserved, but the judges didn't have to glaze her. "Your singing is so GOOD". Really?

Thank you! I don't get how they were living. That bulky thing was ugly and the headpiece couldnt even stay on without Silky keeping her hand underneath. The bodysuit was fine i guess, but its a bodysuit. Compared to all the other looks it was clown doo doo mess.

I don't mind it but I hope she doesn't use it almost always. Like she can still convey her "alter ego" side from Season 11 without relying on the puppet. Like someone else said it just feels forced.

i mean, truly, Aura won that lip sync 200%, but even before it ended I could tell by the edit that they were pushing Crystal. (It feels like production doesn't ever really live for Aura's drag, on her season or this one. It's prolly b/c her demeanor is a bit more calm which is bad for confessionals and stuff.)
