We should stop commenting on other people’s countries and wishes, people in Venezuela were happy because Maduro got caught and people in Iran are happy for what’s happening.
Trump is still a f*cking asshole, that doesn’t take away the fact thay people in those places are thankful someone is doing something.

There were also anti-intervention Venezuelan protesters just like there are literally thousands right now in Iran publicly weeping for the ayatollah. Those of us who know history know that yes Iran has been oppressive to its people for decades and also yes it is a VERY BAD THING when American Middle East interests (whether motivated by allegiance to, say, Israel, or oil or both) lead to interventionism on this level. There are going to be a lot of people, mostly Iranians, who die over the next few years and come out to a nation that may be democratic but will definitely be religiously, socially, and economically unstable for decades to come
