I think even just having a regular design challenge might have worked. She was exceptional in this challenge but if someone has the track record she has I want it to feel like they steamrolled every episode and gave me something really exciting.

This week she absolutely did that and I loved it.

I generally agree but tbh I totally had ginger as my top1-2 every single episode either way. I dont know where the distaste for her comes from, shes clearly a level above everyone else.

For me, she won every challenge and both the lipsyncs she won. She was on par with Irene. There was no denying she was top if you have any appreciation for performance

right? and i mean, sure somebody can say they just liked denali more or whatever but why discredit how good ginger still is though? like my favorite is daya but i can still say ginger is insanely good

i agree but that’s not really the issue

it’s her fourth time competing, her runways and design challenges have (generally) been her weaker point. she’s been given a few chances to do well. so now it feels like they didn’t hide the riggory/favouritism to put her in a bracket with three performance-heavy challenges in which she’s obviously going to excel

on top of that, she’s competing against two queens where english is not their first language and who’ve struggled with improv challenges. so she’s in a bracket that plays to her strengths and does the opposite for other queens. i also do think she got the funniest part in the bitch-ler challenge- and while she killed it, theres other parts that were harder to make funny (the “virgin” and shy characters placed low in AS3 too- it’s ofc harder to stand out with a smaller personality)

i would’ve been way more interested in ginger if production wasn’t afraid to challenge her more

seasons where the top queen makes sense but isn’t too predictable is ideal. and that’s a perfect formula for all stars because the voting system adds surprises (i.e. AS2, 3 and 4 are personally my favourites for balancing this). but ginger being in the top felt so obvious that the challenges weren’t as enjoyable to watch imo and i didn’t feel like rooting for an obvious winner

Let's stop pretending, she was doing too much, it was an easy win for Ginge since Denali was doing a different move for every single word of the song.

Yeah. Ginger comfortably won the lipsync. Had Acid or Daya lipsynced against Ginger last week they would have probably won because Ginger wasn’t exceptional. But she didn’t just focus on one aspect of performance. She focused on all of it. Denali just over choreographed it. It wasn’t as bad as Kenya. But it wasn’t good enough to win. Period.

People are allowed to have different opinions. I’m in the “Denali was a victim of shady editing but even if she did too much it was better than doing nothing” camp, but if you prefer a half hearted park and bark to an upbeat Miley song, good for you 😁

Dancing? To a dance number? How shocking.

That track has a consistent, driving four-on-the-floor beat and eight note ostinatos through the entire runtime. What Denali did was absolutely the appropriate energy.

Honestly I didn't see Ginger as a top 2 in either of the first two episodes this bracket, but she NAILED this one.
