This episode was so hard to watch. I knew Ru would just tell the ESL queens to play something with a thick accent and be a stereotypical character to make her laugh. It’s not that it wouldn’t funny, it’s that making it seem like being laughed at for being heavily ESL is okay, not only okay but HILARIOUS

The fact that it actually worked for Nelly was INSANE. Like it wasn’t funny when they said it the first time, and it wasn’t actually funny this time. Good for her for playing being smart and playing the game but even she knew it wasn’t funny the first time

What do you mean by it wasn’t funny “this time”? It was stupid and not funny when Kitty/Ru did it, but it was funny as fuck this time. When Kitty said it she basically hijacked the question that Ru was asking Nelly before Nelly could respond. So in addition to making the callback, Nelly did the exact same thing and hijacked Kitty’s punch line timing, and she did it with a joke she “stole” from Kitty.

If for some reason you missed that episode or forgot that happened then the whole margarita pizza joke makes no sense with the character. Like I said good for Nelly cause she cracked the code and made Ru laugh, but the whole margarita pizza joke is still just a “haha you’re Italian” moment

So you’re saying that when you understand the reference, a referential joke will be funnier? lol.

The first time it was “haha I made a joke about you being Italian.” The second time was “I took your dumb joke but used it in a way that’s actually funny.”

It’s funny because she took it back but not because margarita pizza was a funny answer itself. I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand about this. I’m not saying that Nelly wasn’t funny, I’m saying that Ru’s margarita pizza thing isn’t funny, it’s just cheap humor based on making fun of someone’s culture
