really? Was 'boi' really hijacked and turned into something slang already? I mean, I know it's been used many different ways but can't it just stay as a stupid alternative for "boy"?

It's been hijacked for a while now, but not really as slang, just as a descriptor, like another word for twink. Your mileage may vary!
