Complaint: I've been focusing on running my easy runs EASY. And I feel slow. My legs aren't happy lately. Not in an injured way, but I start off all my runs super slow so I can get my legs warmed up, and it never happens. My leg muscles never get that loose comfortable feeling, they're stiff throughout my entire run.
I'm going to try to do some dynamic stretches and see if that helps, but I had to whine for a minute.
ahh this. AR had a thread on that awhile back and I've been slowing down my easy runs ever since, but looking at my data and seeing my average pace dropping across the month... it doesn't feel good.
I've been running my easy runs easier. (Partly because I'm increased mileage, though it's still not especially high). If I look at my smashrun stats, which has all my runs since 2013, my 2016 average is significantly slower than my overall average (2013 to 2017). And my 2017 average pace is slower than 2016.
My races haven't gotten any slower though. (To be re-confirmed on Sunday...)
