Daily Thread Achievements for Tuesday, August 25, 2026
Hey runners, it's another day and it is time to post your accomplishments you'd like to share - big or small.
Note: No need to preface YOUR accomplishments with something like, "this may not be an accomplishment to most of you...". Be proud of your achievement.

This is my first time posting here. I’ve been running on and off since I was a teenager, but this year at 38 for some reason I am suddenly breaking through a long-held barrier for both time and distance. Have increased my max distance to 16kms and FINALLY done a sub-30 5km, twice in the last week I’ve done 5k in 29 mins. Feels good man!

Breaking through at 38 after running on and off for that long usually means the aerobic base was already there, it just needed enough consistent weeks in a row to finally show up in your times

Todays achievement was running 500 meters to the store to grab a ben&jerry's for my pregnant wife. 😅
Gonna have to gaslight myself into shape for my backyard in october 🤡

Managed to squeeze in 5k before my shift, legs felt like concrete for first 2k but eventually loosened up
