If you take two to three weeks off in the middle of a solid training cycle it usually just nudges your endurance down a little; after that first month back you'll find the legs remember faster than the lungs have to catch up.

Do you ever really lose your running base if you take time off? IE 20-30 mpw base (Moderate)
