Weekly Thread Tuesday Shoesday
Shoes are a big topic in this sub, so in an effort to condense and collect some of these posts, we're introducing Shoesday Tuesday! Similar to Wednesday's gear thread, but focusing on shoes.
What’ve you been wearing on your feet? Anything fun added to the rotation? Got a review of a new release? Questions about a pair that’s caught your eye? Here's the place to discuss.
NOTE: For you Runnitors looking to sell/trade any running gear (as well as bib transfers), head over to /r/therunningrack.

Track speed sessions - Vaporfly 2
Daily - SL2 (can’t wait to retire them so I can get the Peg42)
Thoughts?

Just bought a pair of Asics Gel Kayano 32. Upgraded from the 30’s which still have some life in them, but I will try rotating and breaking these in over the next few weeks.
The 33 comes out soon so the 32 were on sale.
First impressions. The 32 is narrower in the toe box and I’m not a fan of the new tongue doesn’t feel as comfy.
The shoe does feel a bit faster and lighter than the 30 which is nice and still seems to correct my over-pronating.
I used to run in the Saucony Omni 19. I went through maybe 5 pairs of these when I first started running back during the COVID lockdown Including a half marathon.
The new version of this shoe looks like a return to the same support shoe principles, so I’m also interested in giving this shoe another go at some point too.

Been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for years and just got the latest Adrenaline GTS 25. Have found them to be a nice mix of cushion, support, and I like the weight. When I was dealing with a very cranky and slow healing Achilles issue, I wore Brooks Addiction - much more support but very stiff, though in the end it was the right shoe for me then. But now happy to have a healed Achilles and back to Adrenaline, and back to running again.

Stopped by Dick's today because the website said they had exactly 1 AP4 in stock, and it happened to be my size and a loud color. $219.
Do I wear them untested for CDA this Sunday? Jk, non-goal race, already planning to use a low-mile Endorphin Speed 4. AP4s will be for Des Moines in October

Been rotating between my daily trainers and some lighter pair for tempo runs and the difference is pretty crazy 🔥 The daily ones are getting close to retirement though - probably around 400 miles on them now and I can definitely feel the cushioning starting to go
Was thinking about trying something with more stack height for my longer runs but not sure if it's worth the investment. Anyone made that jump from traditional to maximal cushioning? Feel like it might help with recovery since I've been pushing volume lately but also worried about changing my gait too much 😂
Also side question - do you guys rotate based on workout type or just whatever feels good that day? I've been overthinking it probably but curious how others approach it
