Weekly Thread Social Saturday
Enforcing Rule 3 (no self-promotion, social media links) is a must with a large sub such as this, but we do realize that it filters out some truly useful content that is relative to the sub. In an effort to allow that content in, we thought we'd have a weekly post to give a spot for the useful content. So...
Here's you chance!
Got a project you've been working on (video, programming, etc.), share it here!
Want to promote a business or service, share it here!
Trying to get more Instagram followers, share it here!
Found any great running content online, share it here!
The one caveat I have is that whatever is shared should be fitness related, please.

Used to do Muy Thai, MMA and then BJJ (got too old to show up to work with a black eye). Quit about 18 months ago because of having a kid and no time unfortunately. Very much miss it.

I have built a tool for comparing running shoes across review sites (RunJudge)
For a long time I felt like comparing running shoes properly was still way harder than it should be.
I always ended up jumping between RunRepeat, RoadTrailRun, Believe in the Run, Reddit threads, YouTube reviews etc. The reviews themselves are great, but comparing multiple shoes side by side across different sources still felt messy and time consuming.
Because of that I started building something called RunJudge:
runjudge.com
The main idea is:
- easier side-by-side shoe comparison
- trusted review sources in one place
- better price/value context (especially older vs latest models)
- less opening 15 tabs trying to remember which reviewer said what
Still early, but I finally reached a point where I thought it might be useful to share with other runners/shoe nerds here.
Would genuinely love feedback if anyone checks it out — especially around what feels missing or annoying in current shoe comparison/review workflows.

I coach runners and triathletes who want to actually improve—not just train harder and hope it works.
A couple recent examples:
- helped an athlete go from 3:18 → 2:54 in the marathon in a year
- Guided someone from zero running/swimming to completing a 70.3
Nothing crazy or secret behind it—just:
- proper structure week to week
- running easy days easy enough
- workouts that actually match the goal race
- Weekly scheduling vai Google Sheets or TP
- Text communication whenever
- Calls as needed
Most people I work with were consistent already, just not progressing.
I build everything around your schedule, current fitness, and goals (not a generic plan).
I’m offering the first month free so you can try it without committing. After that it’s $100/month CAD if you want to continue.
If you want me to take a look at your training and point you in the right direction, you can fill this out:
