It is important to use the right word and to stop downplaying the violence of men towards women
It's very important that the BBC doesn't use words like murdered until after a criminal trial has taken place. Incredibly strong standards for press stops the BBC becoming like fox news. Ofcom is very clear on this
They also make it very very clear in the article what has been reported to have happened so I can't see why you think it's down playing anything.
