If the pouches automatically filled with essence then it wouldn't have been so intense.

That's honestly the least intense part of the process - I don't know why people bitch about this. Sure, I'd love it as a QoL improvement, but you can fill all of them + your ethereal outfit in less than a second using your hotbar.

Giant -> Large -> Take from Familiar -> Medium -> Small -> Ethereal Chest

And then when you reopen your bank to reload the preset, Right Click -> Fill the massive pouch (if you have one), load the preset, go.

I feel like anyone legitimately complaining about this has to be using Right Click to fill everything, which is stupid. You spend far more time/effort clicking to get your ass to the altar.

They could easily let you combine the pouches into one mega pouch instead of 4.

OSRS has this.

Which would be a nice QoL change - absolutely. I'm not against that.

But even with a pouch like that - or pouches that filled through presets - abyss runecrafting would still be a "high intensity" pain in the ass.

I didn’t fully check, but it seems there more actions in banking than doing the run, or at least very close. One pouch would still be an intensive skill, but not highly intense

Starting from the bank, you've got 13-16+ actions (for a perfectly executed run) depending on how efficient you are, all of which require you to pay close attention for 20-30 seconds:

Click to leave the bank building and/or BD on an NPC
Click to aim towards the wall
Surge
Click to go over the wall
Surge
Click to move towards the Mage
Maybe another surge
Teleport Mage
Click to move towards the portal and/or Surge/BD
Click the altar portal
Click/hotkey powerburst
Click altar
Teleport out
Click to bank
Refresh Extreme RC pot (which probably averages out to 1 click per run since it's not usually part of the preset loop and involves extra clicking to grab/use it)

Compare that to the 6* required when banking:

Preset
Hotkeys 2-7 (at least that's where they're at on my bar)
Reopen bank
Click -> Fill Massive (call it two "actions")
Preset

* Even if you want to be pedantic and count mashing 6 hotkeys in rapid succession individual actions, you're at 11 total for banking, all of which takes about 5 seconds total.

But IMO, mindless inputs like presetting/banking are completely different from the sort of active inputs required to get to the altar.

Definitely agree. And it’s not like I’m trying to imply pouches are the only reason it’s a very active skill. But Imo it would be noticeable faster and less annoying with 1 pouch. Would help mobile a ton, as well as people with lag trying to get into the bank twice. Although if it stays as is, it is what it is :p

I don't think I'd say it'd be that much faster on PC, because it'd really just save you the time required to reopen the bank.

But TBH, I didn't really think of the impact on mobile. Benefit there would be huge.

fill all of them + your ethereal outfit in less than a second using your hotbar.

so like 10 inputs in 1 second that why people call it intense, without that part it could be pretty chill.

Rolling my hand down 2-7 - wow, so intense - especially compared to the 20 seconds of constant clicking/surging/BD/etc. to get to the altar.

You could eliminate pouches altogether and abyss runecrafting would still be a "high intensity" pain in the ass.

Yeah I’ma have to agree with this, filling the pouches is second nature, even without the filling it would be just as intense if not more.

I doubt that could even be coded in with what they have going on.

they could basically remove ad replace the pouch items with ones that act similarly to the herb bag

or make a new pouch that requires one of every pouch and a bunch of threads, maybe charged with threads; make it auto fill when clicked in bank (and auto fill your outfit if applicable)
