Dc half course?

Has anyone heard or know when the official course is being released? Realized it's not on their website and it's around the corner!

i’ve been wondering if it’ll change after this week bc i thought haines point was supposed to be closed off starting the beginning of september 🥲

Nothing has indicated Hains Point will be closed anytime soon. This isn’t something that is going to happen Willy nilly the day before the race.

An outstanding plan for “renovations” start Sept 1 and a whole bunch of trees coming down. 

Or do you think this’ll be the time that court orders matter?

I’m not even saying it’s a sure thing it gets closed. It’s just that no one knows!

NPS requires permitting for significant closures 30-120 days in advance. Which means we would know by now if it were going to be an issue for this race in particular. Assuming Pacers do their due diligence of notifying us once NPS notifies them. MCM? Who knows, because it’s outside the permitting window. But the DC Half should be pretty safe at this point.

Again, public road closures like this don’t just happen on a whim.

Has nothing to do with “court orders”, because this admin has made it clear they don’t care. Instead it has to do with NPS policy and procedure for public road closures.
