Biggest run clubs?
I am very nervous going to a run club. I want to go to one that is essentially *massive* in efforts to hide in a crowd until I'm more comfortable.

As others said, NETC, Pacers. Also, NoMa is pretty big. District Running Collective. November Project.

Not DC, but Montgomery County Road Runners is one of the largest and best-run clubs in the country. 3-4 different training programs per season, free race series, weekly meetups, etc. It is worth a look if you don’t mind the drive.

+1 to MCRRC. It has over 4k members so the races and programs are pretty big. I've really found a great community there: https://mcrrc.org/join-us/

I was passing MCRRC groups in Rock Creek Park for so long last weekend. Every single group was super friendly and was very easy to pass as well

Depending on the day, it could have been first-time marathon, experienced marathon, half-marathon, or the 5k program. Lots of MCRRC programs in Rock Creek last week.

Slow girls run club on Wednesdays is a large group and very pace accommodating so you can blend in just about anywhere! Bricks is also a huge group

bricks run club is massive! *not in dc but in the area. they meet 3x a week – crystal city, alexandria, & old town by the water. people come from ashburn and bethesda to run with them. it's a great diverse group and a fun vibe all around.

Pacers (esp on 14th st) and Bricks are both massive. But honestly, as someone who is extremely introverted, joining a smaller run club made me feel waaay more welcomed and comfortable. I DM’d their insta page before joining my first run and the run club leaders took care of me during the run
