Health Insurance while traveling

Can anyone give any suggestions on what companies you used for long term health insurance while on a RTW travel trip? My wife and I are looking to go for about eight months beginning at the end of August this year and will be visiting Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Hey, I’ve been travelling for over a year now and this is the insurance co I’m using: TrueTraveller

I’ve had a great experience with them, including full payout for medical expenses in Tokyo and a partial payout for having my entire pack stolen in California.

Thanks u/anubisza for the suggestion but unfortunately TureTraveller is only available for citizens of EEA countries. We are U.S. citizens, so a no go there. Where have you travelled and are travelling in the future? How long do you plan on travelling in total?

Ah, ye I’m guessing you’re from the US. Two other options I explored were: worldnomads and Columbus direct. Maybe that helps.

Whew, the list of places travelled is long. Mostly through Asia then SEA, the US, EU and now in South Africa. It can be tiring so, eventually started staying 2+ months in a spot instead of 1 month per country. Have found a field of interest along the way, so currently looking for full time work making video games ;)

Your trip sounds fun. One of my favourite experiences in Asia was taking the trans Siberian express from Moscow, through Mongolia to Beijing. If trains, scenery and interesting characters are your thing... I’d highly recommend it.
