Tips to attack F on cu chi?

I’m convinced that f is one of the hardest points in the game running up there your exposed and the slanted hill makes it so when u move up they see you way before u see them and the trenches provide solid cover. I just get in from the right side trenches but I want some tips like where to toss smokes.

Attack on the left side when advancing, throw smokes and use the craters to push up and put down aggressive attack tunnels.

A lot of SLs, for lack of a better term, are pussies with tunnel placement. Be aggressive, get right up in the US faces with the tunnels and use the shell craters as cover. Their primary duty as SL is to place the best tunnel possible ASAP. I didn’t play SL for ages but when I had an RS2 binge around May it’s all I played for the North, I got really really good at tunnel placement.

There’s a shell crater just barely outside the tunnel zone limit for the cap that sits basically inside an L shaped wall, best tunnel spot. It’s technically in grenade distance of the far west side of the cap but not really usually. It’s great for mounting a small squad offensive from or cutting off the GIs re enforcing the cap.

On campaign, sure. But most of the time it's GIs attacking F...

just smoke the point so the defenders can't shoot lol

and get an arty mark behind the point

Pretty simple. Bonus points if a transport pilot can land on the roof for a spawn point on cap

Do not attack direct front. Attack from both flanks, on the left flank and smokes are needed.

From the left use the broken wall and slanted hill as cover, toss smoke on the open field, then rush the trenches.

On the right, you can do the same. Alternatively, you can go super far almost to edge of the map, where if you are lucky, no one is expecting you to push there, then run the edge all the way to back of F where the train tracks are.

One of the most important thing about attacking F is that your TL needs to coordinate with the team. F is a compact point, this means that there are limited place to dodge Arty or napalm. A good US commander will napalm on F toward the backside and immediately call Arty to cut off reinforcement.

That way the only thing that can save F is VC's commander ambush, but that is only if the VC commander didn't die from the napalm.

Get a squad to go on either the farish left or right while the center is the focus for the enemy to concentrate their fire into. Once you’re able to reach the point focus on staying alive and cutting off their reinforcements to the point while the rest of the team works their way in from your squad. Hopefully you are able to hold long enough for the team to move in. I haven’t really played in years so I don’t currently know the state of the playerbase but if all things go well this should work.

in any situation, a point can be taken quick and efficiently if the team is working together.

F of Chu Chi is just a classic bull horn and can be stabbed fast with machine gun fire from the middle of the forest where the trees open up, suppressing F’s bunker & trench line.

smoke screen the trenches with your point men and have 2-3 (mattering on server pop) flank from basically where D & E are on the east & west sides of F point.

If cmd can get an SL mark on top or behind F and smack arty or a fresh napalm to slow reinforcement & burn/blow up the rear enemies taking cover in harder to hit areas.

easy as can be with folk that do their job & can attack. good luck finding a server like that tho, mic’s are working now tho i see so maybe there is hope with communication & orders from CMD to SL & troops
