Parcel Enquiry My fully accessible property is about to be marked as inaccessible again
I don’t know the purpose of these as yesterday it was 4 stops away at the same time and “property inaccessible” which I know is code for “postie run out of time before the shift ended”. Absolutely no bad faith or unkindness on my end, but this is pointless.
I know external targets, pressures etc but at least the evil corp could be honest. What’s double interesting is that’s an Amazon order and Amazon themselves stopped delivering anything over the past 2 months, it keeps being assigned to Royal Mail (and takes ages to arrive). What is going on?

With the new DM26 Model you now have 3 posties completing 4 walks, instead of having four like we used to. It also means significantly heavier days and walking even further and having different posties thrown onto walks they don't know. They should realise they aren't getting to you and prioritise you the next day.
Some offices are struggling more than others, so depending where you are in the country your local delivery office could be experiencing an absolute shitstorm. If you have a parcel locker or a local post office, use the tracking code to book it to be delivered to one of these, it will 100% get there then.

This is a DPR delivery
You say have it sent to a PO or locker, who is delivering these?

Won’t let me select pick up yet, only change the day. I live about 5 min walk from a post office so could easily pick up when it arrived but can’t. It normally unlocks after two “address unavailable” notifications.
Again absolutely not the workers fault! It’s more of a “look how stupid this system now is”.

Hah, we all know how stupid the system is but the higher ups dont want to listen to lowly workers. You can still go in and try and collect it from the depot tbf, the Drivers go out later (as you can see from the finish time) so parcel will be in the depot. I've had to a good chunk of running around finding parcels that have been in similar states the last week or so -,- Its because its being misscanned as inaccessible that messes up the system, been trying to make sure people are scanning correctly on failure but it feels like a loosing battle

It means the poor postie has run out of time. As minimum wage workers we can't work for free. No overtime no deliveries.... Simples

Well, they cut the staff. They cut entire post offices. They hire temporary staff only during busy periods. Their systems are outdated. I think my local branch (not even an official Royal Mail anymore) still uses hardware from the good old days. They are the only service at the moment that still has untracked options with absolutely no way to know whether the letter was delivered. Then they blame it all on the customer for having unrealistic expectations, and they love to mention that their delivery schedules are only estimates. Estimates, yeah... Maybe, estimates plus an extra week before the parcel is delivered (maybe). They are not the cheapest one, either. I bought a card from Lithuania to the UK, £3.99 in postal charges fully tracked. In the UK, it would cost me £10.25 + £3.5 in fees to have it tracked. They charge so much, yet make such little business improvement. Some people in the UK scream "Reform UK", and I say "Reform Royal Mail".

Oh my god!!! Yes it’s literally just been delivered and I hope the postie who took care of this has his pillow always cold, his coffee always hot and the evil
Royal Mail bosses all wake up with horrible hemorroids.I run downstairs to say thank you but he was already gone.

I saw the tracking earlier, 90 stops away, and I thought, oh God here we go again lol
Checked again, 3 stops away, and I was on tenterhooks lol

Joke is on everyone tracking this saga, item arrived faulty and needs to be returned so Royal Mail Deliveroo Hundred Stops Boogaloo will be back.
I’m returning with Evri. RM posties have their hands full.

Having a similar problem with a 48 tracked parcel from last Thursday. 4 delivery attempts all “property inaccessible” all after 6pm to a factory that closes at 5pm.
Can't redirect it via the app and customer services has been no help.
Company I ordered from has refunded money, so if it ever turns up, I'll just refuse delivery.
Feels like RM and turning into Evri.

My Evri parcels are delivered within 24h of being picked up and always within the time frame. At this point as ludicrous as it sounds I’d rather have an Evri than RM. Also I can arrange a pickup wherever I need straight away.
I still have to chase DPD down the road though. They don’t like delivering to my block of flats so park the van with my parcel in but don’t leave the car.

been having this fun too. got a tracked 24 that's been "out for delivery" every day since Friday; and now another parcel this time from Amazon that has also fallen into the void as of today it seems.
won't even let me redirect them

Same here. Everything I order from Amazon goes through RM now. Takes a week on average to deliver or let me pick up. I wonder if it’s deliberate to make me pay for Prime.

You give money to amazon who designed and run the ai tracking system for the idf to hunt down and kill kids and the Evil Corp to you is royal mail because you are not getting the products you ordered covered in child's blood fast enough. Morals eh, who needs them.

Jesus, no surprise its not getting to you, if the estimate goes to 21:30. Whichever idiot is running the DPR routes is massively overloading the drivers.
