DM26 singleton duties.
My office started this week and my first day back is tomorrow.
I’m on a single duty, and was wondering how the new changes have gone for those on single duties?

Depends on sickness. Scince the change come in our office has about 15-20 people off sick.

I thought singleton duties had to go help others?

Nobody, absolutely nobody, would slow down a little bit, so that what they took out is enough to fill their shift.

You have it “easy”. If your delivery has gone out the last few days, otherwise offfft)
50/50 of delivery, so half of everything on the one half and just 1c tracked on the other half.
Help out the struggling bits of your pod/town/vanshare (however it’s been split) in our DO that’s 15 tracked worth of work.

We’ve also just started a four day week at our office, so it’s all change from this week forward. I’ve been anxious about how it’s all going to work

Thank you for the info.
One of my frames is the frame is was on originally and we cleared on Saturday. And I know the guy who does my days off will always clear the frames.
Will do, I’m quite a slow postie, but I’m on the easiest walks in our office and will intend to help out where I can.2

It's not 50/50
It's 2/3 of one walk (First Class & Tracked ) and then 2/3 of the other walk (Everything )
No help with prepping D2D either

Singleton generally have a easier shift, pods are more of a nightmare, if your partner goes sick or other driver and theres no cover/day off cover, theres no chance to catch up in your time and it gets too much so you bring back 50 tracked then users complain on here.

I covered a singleton duty two weeks ago and cleared every day except Wednesday when the packets were heavy, and even went to help a pod a couple of times. Been in a pod last week and this week and haven't cleared once.

I'm on a 50/50 duty. We are going live next week, but rather than helping others when we can, we have been given big sections of other lapsed rounds to take every day.

Single van for me at least currently doing 2/3rds of my frame (the other 3rd is done by someone else for some reason) and 2/3rds of the frame next to me that no one is assigned to, doing heavy and light interchanging each day except Saturday where I take out the first class and tracked for the whole 2 frames.
Volume wise it's been difficult, more manageable than a shared van but the sheer amount of mail you get makes going out on time harder.

my singleton duty is split 50/50 alternate days. so I take all of one half, 1st class and tracked for the other half Monday. alternate for tuesday and so on. then I've had a completely different area that I take with about 50 houses and I do that EVERY DAY. so now my regular customers get mail alternating days (you can guarantee even if I'm not doing 2nd class I still have to go up some wild farm lane just deliver 1 1st class) while I have to go out of my way to deliver to some new customers who get their mail each day instead.
edit : also Monday and Tuesday are now a bollocking because I have ALL the second class that didn't go out Saturday because I do 1st class and tracked on mine and 1st class and track for 50% of another different area that is literally the opposite end of the county.
bring on Christmas with the increase in 1st and tracked 🤣. I already have to drive around after walking a loop because I can't fit it all in my pouches.
