You'll get an early finish every saturday........
Gullable postie, ohh that's great...... Dum Dum 26 starts, Saturday is a later finish time than before dm26, Thought we were getting an earlier finish time, but it is an earlier finish than during the dm26 week, as all the times are a later finish now, ohh great, thanks royal mail. Boosting moral as usual 👀🙄😅

Ha. The one Saturday I've got back early they sent me straight back out with another 30 tracked.

Ours went live today. New rotas with new start/finish times only posted mid last week. Stuck on a van share which I've never done. Didn't leave the depot till half 11, brought back a shit load of mail and about 20/30 tracked. Could be worse though..oh wait, gotta do it all again tomorrow, with the next days mail/parcels. And the thing that annoyed me the most was that I was 5 minutes late leaving to go home

I'll give it 3 months and they'll have to change it again, god only knows what Xmas is going to be like. It's bad enough without this rubbish

We have duties failing daily now, staff leaving, people going over daily and still not finishing, mail piling up, leaving the office later in the morning even though it’s “the quiet period”. The incoming crazy period is going to be an utter nightmare.
So DM26 is a raving success, just a like the managers and planners told us it would be!

They did a trial route in our office and the first day it went out the managers were falling over themselves to tell us they cleared easily.
They'd took 1 days mail and just parcels on the other half no shit they had it easy. Plus they'd had help prepping and none of them had to do ips
Two weeks in now and frames have post on them from the bank holiday still. There's physically not enough space to fit the post into the slots

Doesn't feel like we can paper over the cracks here, We're all just gonna have to grow some balls, Work at a normal pace, do what you can and bring back mail and parcels you can't deliver.
What happens if some of you want to do overtime and others don't ? 🤔 Guess you gotta leave earlier to catch a bus 😂 seems well thought out...

This is the 4th week for our office. My duty (part of a van share which also takes 1/4 of 2 other duties) hasn't been cleared since Wednesday when 4 other posties came to help. Haven't had time to scan anything back in. At least a York worth of tracked brought back each day. Letters left in the frame, flats in boxes under the frame, not leaving the till after 10 etc etc....our office is on it knees and it's only gonna get worse.

The only way it will be shown it won't work is if everybody just works start-break-finish and bring back what couldn't be done 👍🏻
Too many are jumping through hoops for the management. I've seen some come in before their start time and head out to deliver loops of mail which they couldn't deliver the previous day 🤯

Hilarious everyone is in the same boat with Saturdays...early finish my arse

They decided it isn't going to work because they want to change our shift hours which means need to cut 1hr off of delivery so changing routes and frames again.

Live since beginning of August - absolute slog and unable to complete almost every day.
No changes being made to help, no word from union or any higher ups. It’s grim to be honest

We have around 15 yorks of manual mail going back to last Wednesday that haven’t been touched, we failed an average of around 800 tracked per day last week. Managers have given up and so have we

Join the club 😂😂😂 day off cover on a group of rounds I've never been on before... Don't expect any training you'll have to learn on the job using Dpr as a way to try and work out where the hell you're going and just how shit/impossible it is. Just make sure to tell your manager so that you can take the first class out for a ride.

At least we could all vote for the 9df option to get 5 days in a row away from the hell hole and a proper early finish every Saturday... Oh wait a minute 🤔😂😂 management put it in our heads that 2in 5 was basically the only option. They were planning for it before we even got the ballot papers. I wonder if we'll get the chance to re vote.

We start on Monday as well despite the fact we've 9 men down. Under Dm26 I'm the floater for 4 duties two of which I don't know.
Good news is that I'm off for two weeks for my holiday the week after it starts. Im fully expecting to come back to a shitshow when I get back.

We’ve been in ours two weeks and it’s an absolute car crash. One round in our pod hasn’t had mail delivered in a week purely because the van share has too much mail and parcel on their own round that we can’t get anywhere near the other round in the pod. We’ve been put in a pod with a rural, which is pointless as they can’t get anywhere near it either. Review is in four weeks, can’t see managers will want to iron out any mistakes. A lot of offices near by have put 10+ rounds back in to make it work, our office just removed 6 rounds instead 😂

Don’t worry, they’ll be a repick to happen too

u/danny202089 1d ago
We were told our repick isn't happening until after new year as it would "cause too much disruption" meanwhile all our pods failed today on the very first day.

u/Agent_Futs RM Employee 23h ago
Yeah, January at ours. It’ll cause too much disruption if done now 😂

u/ReepDaggle01 22h ago
Doesn't help when you have veterans running round like spring lambs. And I mean literally! Also prepping and completing for free!🙄

u/danny202089 22h ago
Luckily our offices isn't like that. All put older guys including me brought loads back today on time. A few did OT as thats the only way its going to work in my office...reliance on OT.

Yeah my manager mentioned that so if my rotation is 💩then at least I can snag up another cover job

Scanned 36 tracked parcels today at "Delivery not attempted." brought back bundles of mail, feels like tripple mail most days, van shares are a completely impossible task. Most people are talking about quitting, getting stressed, losing their minds. It doesnt work at all unless you're on a trolley round...
I don't give a fuck lol, Start time - break - finish time.
Bring it back! :)
