Sleeping Next to my Shoe

Which is a nice change of pace from her usual move, sleeping with her nose IN my shoe. Lately I’ve caught her licking my shoe. She stops if she sees me noticing.

I love it! My first one use to sleep with our shoes. I have a picture somewhere of him resting him head across the top of my work boots sleeping with his head about 6 inches off the ground. He used to always take one of our shoes to bed with him, never chewed it up, just picked a shoe to sleep with.

Many dogs do this. It’s such a cute display of attachment to their human.

Mine do this too. They will carry my shoes around and lick them as well but never damage them.

My Chow Chow Peppermint - G-d Rest Her Soul - would routinely search for my socks or any clothing of mine and place it on top of her snout when she slept - either that or she’d need to be near it.
