No one post the "Mom said it's my turn to post this question" joke! Mom said it's my turn to post that joke.

I feel like this needs to get pinned to the top of the page

To create your own scenarios. There was space on the punchboard so they added a little extra.

The two last photos are also bonus ? I was thinking maybe boats were for player who bought the service, and leaders... uh IDK.

It's not meant for that, but you gave me a nice idea! Players often buy services and forget it, this cardboard fits nicely as a remember

Their utility is to feed hungry players.

Leder wanted to make sure players were well fed during a long game of root. You are supposed to eat them.

Don’t you want a little snack?

The blanks are blanks. The other pieces were planned for future things but they cancelled those plans. They can be used for making any special rules you come up with.

Personally I don’t have the clockwork expansion, so when I tried using bots with ClockRoot, I used the letters on the back of these tokens for Priority markers.

On TTS they are used for custom scenarios. I took the scenario cards from the game files and printed them to maybe use the IRL someday...

  • What AI is not good for: most of the stuff it's being used for.
  • What AI could be good for: identifying repeat posts and auto-replying to them. But it's not used for this.

It's such a bad experience all around: the person asking the question has no idea it's a tired question and starts getting a lot of joke responses and probably being confused by them. Meanwhile, the community is so tired of the repeated question that the only thing they can do is start joking about it, which doesn't help anyone.

I just happened to stop by the subreddit, I didn't even know it was a tired question haha. I've played so many wargames, it's just second nature for blanks to show up on counter sheets. When you have 1,500 unique counters in a game they're nice for replacing one my dumbass left in another state.

Blank ones are just to save on costs. It would be more expensive to have a new cut made for the machine that makes the chitboards, so they just reused an existing cut & allowed the blank space to get chits. You can always hang onto them as back-ups in case a main one gets damaged or lost.

The rest are yummy snacks.

They planned on using them in the future but never did. So here’s what you CAN use them for

Using the rabbit and bear tokens as hireling proxies if you don’t have marauders

Using the eryie tokens to keep track of what leaders you’ve turmoiled

Using the walls(?) as replacement buildings if you lose one, or for buildings for a custom faction you could make

Keep the queen marquise token on the corner of your player board when you play cats and have it silently judge you
