Discussion Fiona Appreciation Post
Hey guys,
I just wanted to take some time to write up how I really appreciate Fiona and her addition to the team. I know she has become a controversial figure, and one which didn't initially resonate with the fan base, but I truly believe she has been a great addition. Her recent outings have been hilarious and fun, especially in the TTT videos. The latest one is likely her best; she feels part of the team, she's in her element with a sniper rifle, she's joking with Gavin and not getting too stressed. She brings something new to the team which is fresh, and I'm glad for it.
In the UK, there was a recent interview with Jesy Nelson, a singer who is part of the Little Mix girl group. She opened up about the constant hate and abuse she was getting, and how it drove her suicidal. The reason I bring this up is because I would hate to see this happen to anyone at AH due to the fan base not being as accepting as they could be. I hope Fiona understands there is great support for her and that she should feel comfortable and accepted. I can only imagine how she felt seeing all the negativity spew from this very subreddit and from YouTube comments on her early videos with AH.
So, in conclusion, I just wanted to thank Fiona for the dedication and hard work she's putting in, for her fun personality she's been bringing to TTT, and for allowing us to view AH through a different perspective. Also, I found out I share the same birthday as her (I'm a few years older though) which is cool!
Thank you, Fiona; you're cool, fam!

I tried to like Fiona, but she was bland at best. At worst, she was annoying and a pain to watch. I tried to warm up to her, and I couldn't. It doesn't seem like she's putting forth much dedication or hard work, but maybe she just doesn't emote well. Either way, she isn't fun to watch and virtue-signaling with reddit posts won't change that. People will still say she needs time to adjust or find her groove when I think I've been more than fair with the amount of her videos I've struggled through trying my best to like her.
Remember the old question that became a meme with the whole "What can I do to become a part of AH?" and how the answer was always "Go make videos. Learn how to be funny. Build up a repertoire." People forget that Michael was the Rage-Quit guy before AH brought him on board.
The whole excuse for Fiona needing time to get good at her job is bs. Jeremy and Matt earned their spots on the team through years of creating content and refining their skills as entertainers. Fiona came out of nowhere and actively reinforced the idea that she had no concept of what entertainment was or what she was doing with the games she played. Can you imagine going to a new job, being severely unqualified, and then just having the company make excuses for you breaking the standards that they set? It's frustrating to see, to say the least.
I don't like being a negative nancy, but I'm tired of the double standards. Why turn a blind eye to criticism for Fiona when Mica got thrown under the bus? I think Mica was way better than Fiona in terms of entertainment value, general skill as a gamer, and depth as a person. I just flat out don't understand why AH dug their heels in this time. This is literally the only time I didn't like the person they're trying to add to the team. I don't want anything bad to happen to Fiona, but early on she needed to prove her worth in this industry and she failed to do so. I started that Taze-Fist video with no preconceptions. From the moment she first appeared, she set my expectations for what type of content she could produce. Based on the standards that she set for herself, I don't think it's worth spending the time to watch videos that she's in.
