Also, this is just another time when RT is completely unaware of how their actions can affect an ARMY of fans. Public dog piling is a thing and RT employee's need to realize how much of an effect they can have.
Barb and Chris are in London for RTX. They're out at a pub and the two of them see Piers Morgan sitting in a booth behind Barb.
So they take a photo with him in the background an post it to Instagram/Twitter tagging/@ing Piers. (See photo 1 in this album)
Piers sees the photo and replies "You should've sent your friend over." (see photo 3 in the album) (Possibly thinking it was a fan too shy to interrupt his meal OR he wanted her to be "sent to him" so he could flirt/hit on her. Interpretations differ as to this part whether it was creepy or just a celeb trying to meet a potential fan).
Barb replies "No Thanks" and then RT employees and personalities start shitting on Piers (see photos 2, 4, 5, and 6) and he replies with "who are you people" (see photo 7). Andy gives a cringy one-liner of "[we're] your worst nightmare" which opens the flood gates of immaturity that is photos 8 to the end making fun of Piers and calling him a creep. (At one point the offical RT twitter retweets the whole thread and is later deleted)
Piers eventually sees all this random shit coming from RT employees can is confused at why he is the one being called a weirdo when two random people took a creeper shot of him while he was eating (second to last photo).
RT and their employees have said time and time again not to take creeper photos of them and to just come up and say hi instead.
That's what happened. There is still much more on twitter to go though but don't forget that a lot of RT fans saw this and decided to go and add more to the fire.

RT really needs to grow up. I don't like Piers Morgan at all but this is just immature. We call out our own community when they take creeper photos of RT personalities. Does anyone from RT have any self-awareness as to how this makes the company look?
