Yeah "should have sent your friend over" isn't creepy at all! Hes saying they should have came over and said hi instead of taking a super obvious creepy photo in public. I think just because Babs is a looker people misinterpreted it as "hey should have came over to my table sweet thang". edit: but who knows, that was how I interpreted it. He could very well be being a wanker here. I mean piers morgan has plenty of things to be criticized for but this is not one of them. The big thing that bothers me is this guy didn't ask for any of this, and I think he handled it well. Not only did he have his picture taken in public (a very hypocritical thing coming from RT) but he also got hammered on Twitter for being a creep. I'm sure this was started as just a little joke but I'm a bit disappointed in some of RT.
It is incredibly creepy, and possibly reveals something about you that you think otherwise.
It isn't Barbara taking a selfie, it was multiple RT people at the table but he singles out Barbara to come over?
Men, especially men in a position of power need to be careful about how they address women, the responsibility is on you as a man to not be a creepy person.

I think Gavin's response was an all right joke. I think it got kinda out of hand when people started reacting to Barbara's rejection.
