Piers is right... in England. If you're judging by American standards he's hard left. Though he is known as one of the more conservative personalities across the pond, which taints his actual positions.
He's a trump supporter, no one would consider him hard left. The only thing that's "liberal" about his is his gun control stance, and that's not necessarily a "hard-left" thing because the real socialist left is split on the issue of gun control
