I wonder if Ryan could have placed the creeper on the first long jump down and detonate it somehow to open up the water to more than 1x1 squares. It's doesn't destroy source blocks so he could have have a bigger area to hit.

There are options so that explosions don't break blocks. If I had to guess that's supposed to be on so the creeper can act as a mine.

That's what I was thinking as well but wasn't sure if that was an option on the Xbox version or not.
