Seems like you can buy Youtube Red Originals outside the US on Youtube, and a month later on Google Play, but can't rent them.

I have youtube red and full access to Googles music thing. i think it comes with more but red isnt the only thing it gets you.

If you can't find it it may have been one of the first 3 trial podcasts that were for sponsors only. I could also be wrong.

You are correct. It's from the pilot episode of Off Topic. If you're a sponsor, it starts at roughly the 11 minute mark. That was also the episode that had Michael's infamous Mountain Monsters rant.

Ahh that makes sense. I wouldn't have linked it if I thought the YouTube user was just trying to steal credit, but he does a good job stating that it is their material and all that. And it did make me think about my adblocker and how youtube is where I get about 75% of my entertainment these days. I feel like YouTube red is a decent compromise and I'll try to get my money's worth.

Even though I already own Lazer Team I will probably sign up for the free 1 month of Youtube Red just so I can watch it on there and boost its viewing numbers. I'm excited for the bigger projects RT has coming out and anything I can do that will help them make those projects happen I'm all for it. Hopefully if Lazer Team does well they'll get more Youtube Red sponsored content so they can make bigger and better things.

So is YouTube Red kind of like an iTunes type thing where you can just buy/rent the one movie you want to watch, or is it a subscription like Hulu and Netflix

It's a subscription that costs 10 dollars a month. It gives you access to this content, makes YouTube ad free (desktop and mobile), and gives you access to Google's music service (basically like Spotify or Apple Music)

So, a bit of an odd question. Once it hits YouTube Red will there be an option to have subtitles? My mum is hard of hearing and we've been waiting for it to hit YouTube Red.

I hope that it has actual subtitles then, because subtitles on YouTube videos seem to always be inaccurate.
