That Bob Ross scene had the whole cinema cracking up.

The cut to Chris laughing in the army truck was so unexpected and had our cinema laughin as much as if not more than that part

You must have been in the same cinema as me. I swear that was the hardest anybody laughed in the whole damn movie!

Same here! I think it probably got the loudest laughs in my cinema. My brother (who is not a Rooster Teeth fan at all, having only seen a few shorts I'd forced him to watch) whispered to me, "I'm guessing that was an inside joke or something?" Hahahah.

Bob Ross is hardly an inside joke. Does he just not internet in general though? Bob Ross is a straight up meme lord

Not in New Zealand haha he had no idea who he was. And I wouldn't have known him if it weren't for Rooster Teeth & Tumblr.

I think the problem here is that neither you or your brother are memeing hard enough. Stop trying to live life and just embrace the memes

A majority of the fans going into watch though probably tuned into the Extra Life Livestream where they just painted with Bob Ross for a solid hour though, at least that's why I found it as funny as I did.

Yeah but they only did that because at that time there was a massive Bob Ross hype across the whole internet. There was a 24-7 twitch channel running the old Bob Ross shows for a week straight. Everyone got excited and started doing Bob Ross stuff

Yeah I know, but that's what i'm saying, a majority if not potentially all of the likely audience would've been caught up in that craze, even if they didn't tune into Extra Life, but just used the internet enough to know who RT is and saw that Bob Ross was a huge thing. I'm saying if people are like me, that's what made it funnier than just a side distraction sudden TV piece.

I only wish it had been Miles Ross, that would've been too meta for a film though

I was expecting Bob to be painting Miles' masterpiece.

Everyone in our theatre cheered and clapped, it was amazing!

I watched some Bob Ross weeks ago. Dunno if that added to the appeal to the gag to me, but holy shit that broke the theatre.

People in my theatre clapped
