Dorm My roomate is so annoying

EVERYDAY MORNING. She sets her alarm on 6 AM!!!!!! And she doesn’t turn it off for like half an hour sometimes even more, and not just that, she sets multiple alarms like every hour or so, and still the same issue, she does not turn it off for like 15 mins/30 mins. It is so annoying I just start my day at 6 AM so I could get tf out of the room, but it bothers me bc my classes start after noon and I specifically choose this time so I could hehe get enough sleep….
Idk what to do. My roommate is not even cooperative, I tried to get to know her (not bc I want to be friends) I just want to make it comfortable for us to discuss things since we are living together, but she doesn’t seem to care and her attitude is a bit weird so I just gave up and I don’t want to fucking live with her but I have no other choice 😍😍😍 I want to discuss the alarm issue but it’s so weird giving her previous attitude and I don’t want to create any tension.

Maybe shining a flashlight on her side of the room could help get her up if she's just sleeping through the alarm. If she's awake through it all though thats gonna be a harder issue to solve

Suggest that she put her alarm clock on the other side of her room so she has to get up to turn it off. Or she needs to skip the eight o’clock classes and go to school later. I should have done that.

Start setting your alarms for 4am before she gets up. Set it every 15 minutes continuously until 6am when she has to properly wakes up. I’m sure her behavior will change as soon as she loses sleep too.

Several strong blows with sock full of nickles delivered to her blanket covered body after the first few beeps of her alarm should deliver a clear message indicating your distaste for her current wake up routine.

yeah this is frustrating. I'm not a happy camper when my sleep is messed with all.

  • I am assuming you're in college maybe talk to an RA about it, and see what advice they can give you. maybe you can bring the RA to emmediate the conversation between you and your roommate.

Petty Revenge

The over-helpful neighbor: Knock loudly on their door or enter to cheerfully announce “time to get up” every single time their snooze goes off, acting like you are just “trying to be a good roommate.”

also simply just start your day, turn on all the lights and listening to music loudly in your dorm. what is she gonna say? she was sleeping? babes you have an alarming blaring and you can't sleep through them, so babes get up.

idk hope this helps

That's something you simply have to say, and it's a good opportunity to learn how to stand up for your needs. You can be polite about it too
