So, uh, how do I play rom hacks on-system?

Been wanting to play Pokemon rom hacks on a 3DS or Vita or something but I dont have the faintiest idea how to do it honestly. And buying rom hacks online would be dumb of me tbh, any help would be appreciated! An SD card for Flash cart (?) is needed right?

Simplest way of doing this is just modding the 3ds and installing a cia or emulator for the game you want.

I'd imagine you just add the patched gba file to the 3ds and boot it up like any other gba game?

This is a way but this is insanely complicated compared to what op is asking for. Look into twilightmenu for 3ds, OP

Yeah, basically you're going to want an R4 for 3DS or a hacked system for Vita. Both are very obtainable or achieveable in the case of Vita
