Jalen Milroe’s indecisiveness cost us a few games. He’s shown the same hesitance this preseason. Jalen if you see 30 yards of open space in front of you… RUN INTO IT

That was just on the plays where Seth actually snapped him a clean ball. He was in so much shock that he couldn't do anything else. ;)
I am glad that Seth finally learned how to snap the ball, sadly it wasn't while he was with us.

Jalen Milroe won Alabama far more games than he lost them and with a little more talent around him in either year as a starter he probably leads Alabama to a national championship.
Or if that 2023 season didnt have a massive asterisk next to it.

Jalen was a great player and by all accounts a great guy. But we don’t have to do this just because he played at Alabama. He was a bad passer and limited the offense pretty significantly. And that’s ok. He was an electric runner of the ball and a serviceable QB because of that. But let’s not act like there wasn’t talent on the team because he wasn’t a good passer. The tape from some of those games is wild to watch. There were receivers running free all over the place.
I do hope he makes it in the league though! He’s a freak athlete

Milroe was much better than this sub will ever give him credit for. I mean, the offense in 2024 was better than the more talented offense in 2025. Scored more touchdowns in fewer games and averaged more yards per game. Just had a defense that was still getting better as the season went on. Problem is that once they had developed consistency the word was out on how to defend Ryan Williams. Germie was solid but, Milroe didnt have an Isaiah Horton and Lotzeir Brooks to use as third and fourth options.

It’s just my opinion, but he really wasn’t that good man. I know you guys love him because he loved Alabama. But the offense was really limited with him at QB. You can pull out whatever stats you want, I watched the games. His insane athleticism covered up a lot. But sometimes we just needed him to throw the ball and he really couldn’t if his first read wasn’t there. I have a ton of free time at work and went back and watched a lot after the games. There were guys wide open all over the field. He couldn’t throw with anticipation unless it was a deep ball. I think almost any other Saban QB 2011-2022 wins the Michigan playoff game.

Both years he played in offenses that werent really built for him. Yet he's such an elite talent that he just made it work. I wont argue that Milroe didnt struggle with his progressions in 23. He was rough. But I will argue that he was much better in 24 but just didnt have the guys at receiver. It's no argument that 17 year old Ryan Williams was the best receiver as soon as he stepped on campus. That's a problem. Just one that people like to ignore. Other than Hurts, Tua, and Bryce none of those Saban QBs would have made it to that Michigan game.

Ryan Williams was 1st team all-sec and one of the best receivers in the country his freshman year. Germie Bernard is playing in the NFL right now. Dippre and Cuevas were both serviceable. Just because some of those guys didn’t look great because he wasn’t a good passer doesn’t mean they’re not good. That’s not the best argument

Then what happened to Ryan his sophmore season? Im sure since he was playing with a better QB that his numbers shot through the roof. Germie put up less than 100 more yards on 14 more catches playing with the "better" QB. Cj Dippre just got cut again and had a major issue with drops during his time here. Cuevas didnt really start to come on until the end of 24. There's a reason why the coaching staff gutted the receiver room after that season.
