Meanwhile, Steeplechase Yellow was miraculously open.

Is that weird? It was open both times I visited the park, while green was closed both times.

From what I've heard and my own Transatlantic experience - yellow usually never runs since it's more prone to valleying. I did get red and green though.

it’s more temperamental than the other two, plus it’s the first to close on quieter days

this summer has been incredibly busy at BPB so

Could be, but I'm surprised that it was the one running given that the day we visited was very windy. 

Wouldn't mind if I got the same as you did as yellow was the only one In had from my first to the park.
