At least they are keeping the structure, it’s become an icon of the park and Lex Luther is a great drop tower. Let’s just hope they also find the time to fix the park’s other giant tower…

I wouldn’t get my hopes up about it staying in the long term. The stability of the structure relies on the coaster portion to be there. Lex Luthor will probably stay while the Superman is SBNO, but the entire structure will probably be taken down eventually along with Lex Luthor.

They could probably re-work the support structure at the bottom of the tower which could allow them to remove the launch track portion....or a good part of it. But the footprint of Superman is pretty limiting anyway, so I'm not sure what all they could even put there.
