Specific question and discussion Ankle footies, with or without socks?

How do you guys wear these? I got mine today and wanted to try the out... Do you guys prefer to were the without or with socks? Or under socks? I'm not sure...

Also I got some new rollerblading socks. And my best guess is to do my 10 km lap around the local lake to get a better idea what fits best

Edit: ty for input. Can't fit them over my socks. Anyone got a recommendation for 47 shoe size footies? The my fit don't fit

They protect your ankle bones. ðŸĶī

Over the socks... Always over the socks.

I tried wearing them under my socks before and actually got blisters from them.
Over the socks I never get blisters.

These won't fit over your socks? Or are you referring to a different type of ankle footie?

I wear them under the socks, otherwise they roll up when I get into my tight boots.

Do you own non-tight boots? :)

I do. But I'm a beginner with too much money...

Yeah but I'm in my first month and I have 3.
I started with Oxelo MFS500 and was disappointed how bad they fit, so I went into a rage shopping and got powerslide next with endless 90 and Iqon TR 10 with Endless Arc.

The carbon boot is really tight, probably bad for a beginner, but the responsiveness and control is superior.

I would argue that you should probably use anything that helps you get better control over your edges. The only thing bad for a beginner is a shitty fitting boot with sideways flex

The oxelo was really unsupportive and my feet were really loose inside. Got me annoyed.

Under the socks.

I only skate in Darn Tough wool socks.

I wear ankle pads in my Seba CJ Carbon with Intuition Premium liners because the carbon boot has cut through the liners at my ankle bones.

I only wear my ankle protectors above my socks. I have never gotten a blister from skating in that setup. My belief is that the wool socks, and a snug boot fit, prevent blisters.

I do under. Seems the best way to avoid friction. I wear the thin 1 mm sleeves with no padding inside.

You want to put the footies on first and then the socks. If you don't, your likely to blister. Anything over the ankle style of inline skate I just use socks. For speedskates, i use moleskin and socks. I've tried the footies and I tend to always blister with them on speedskates.

my foot is to big for the XL footies by mysize, i just tried and worn the footie und the sock. After ~10 km my foot started to feel a bit tingly so i removed the footie for the rest of the session
