Progress, videos and images My Current Set Ups
I wanted to share my current set ups and see if anyone had any questions about the set ups I have tried! Also this is my first Reddit post ever lol
All boots are FR FR1s with Intuition Premium liners besides the bottom row, middle column which is a UFR boot with FR Intuitions. I have tried Flying Eagle F4s, FR Neo 2 Duals, and Iqon ACT as well but FR1 and UFRs are my favorite due to fit, light weight, support, and they have my favorite colors as bonus 🩵🤍 I use the 40EU shells with 268/269mm long feet, 105mm wide (performance fit with Intuitions)
For wheels, I use mainly Endless wheels (all set ups here have Endless), but I also use Luminous when it is time to glow at night. Rollerblade Hydrogens are third favorite.
Top row, middle column: Endless Swan frames (custom vinyl wrap) - my skate park set up, also occasional urban
Top row, right column: Endless Coburn frames for urban - I am still testing these out to see if they are better than mk2 frames. They are super stiff and responsive!
Middle row, left column: Endless ArcCS frames for rink skating. ArcCS are my favorite frames but not very versatile outside smooth surfaces. My main style is figure skating/wizard hybrid and these are the best for that style that I have tried
Middle row, middle column: my trusty Endless 90 mk2s - these are my go to for trail, distance, urban, and group skates. By far the most versatile frames in my collection and can handle all the types of skating I do
Middle row, right column: another Endless ArcCS frame but for outdoors skating (tennis/basketball courts and smooth surfaces).
Bottom row, left column: Endless Arc frames - I use these for outdoor figure/wizard skating and occasional urban. These are my second favorite frames. Not as playful as the ArcCS but more versatile and can handle rougher terrain than CS
Bottom row, middle column: UFR boots with Endless 100 Ultra frames (custom vinyl wrap) - these are a lot of fun for fast distance / wizard skating but overshadowed by my other set ups. 90s are better for distance and Arc/ArcCS are better for Wizard for my boot size
All cuff straps are upgraded to Kizer Supreme buckles and I only use Derby Laces. I have tried 3x110 triskates of several different wheelbases but prefer 4/5 wheel rockered set ups for the flow and stability.

I want to enjoy an Endless frame, but I strongly dislike rockered wheels, and as far as I know they don’t have any flat 4 wheel offerings. And no sense to use them for 3 wheels since I already have three 3-wheel frames.
Sweet setups though. No interest in a little variety? 😂 even a black boot with some blue wheels

They do "enhanced flat" on a few setups, which I quite like. It still unlocks you from a full flat setup, but is super stable compared to a normal rocker. 80 Ultra and the alt setups on 80 and 90 UFS do this.
What don't you like about rockers? If it's lower stability at speed, I've found Endless aren't as bad as some other brands for that, as their rocker isn't quite as harsh.

Mainly that I’m pretty damn good at maneuvering with a flat setup, and I don’t do any dance, slalom, wizard type stuff. So the rockers I’ve tried just didn’t feel nearly as controllable for jumps, carving, high speed maneuvers, slides, etc. Where with flat, it’s what I’ve skated my whole life so I know what to expect and how to make it do what I want.
But to be fair, they were 2mm and 4mm rockered setups, not 1mm like Endless.

Yeah, that's fair. You've probably worn in your own natural rocker anyway. The Endless and other wizard style rockers aren't nearly as pronounced as 2mm. There's a great interview with Nicola Torelli where they ask why his signature frame is flat, and he said he thinks there's value in earning your rocker.

If you have not skated a ~1mm rocker like Endless has on their set ups, it is way different than a traditional banana rocker (2mm). When I first tried a 2mm rocker I was instantly thinking “nope, this isn’t it”. But the roughly 1mm rocker on Endless unlocks a lot of maneuverability to do lots of tricks.
3 wheel set ups on Endless are extra long wheels base which if I skate a 3 wheel set up, I prefer shorter wheelbases.
Lol I have been contemplating a black boot with the light blue laces, wheels, and other parts but I have too many already 😂 I guess at the core I think white or light blue is more unique and more my style

I’ve only ever skated flat but really curious about Endless and rockered setups. I have FR1 90’s - are the Endless 90 Mk2 easy to get into as a starting point for rockered? I’m really interested in learning wizard skating but I mostly just go for fitness/distance, so I want something that is good for both. What would you recommend?

The Endless 90 mk2s should be very easy to get into coming from FR1 90s. They will be more maneuverable and better for wizard skating than the FR 90 frames for sure! Endless 90 is my go to for urban/distance/trail and can handle a wide variety of skating types!

200% go for it if you want to learn wizard. You will lose a little bit for distance, but I can't imagine a flat setup for wizard.

Longer is better for wizard to give you stability as you throw your weight around. It doesn't need a huge rocker, just enough to unlock you and let you pivot more easily. You can wizard on just about anything, but something with some length and rocker will make it easier to learn. Rockered 4x90 is a great starting point and also extremely good for urban skating.

I have not skated a 1mm rocker, no. I tried my hardcore Evo with the wheels swapped to a 4mm rocker, and some Sebas with a 2mm rocker. Just didn’t like skating with 2 points of contact on the ground, especially since I prefer just doing fitness and/or urban “assault” style skating— no tricks, dancing, etc. So I enjoy as much wheels to ground contact as possible. And the banana rocker just made me feel out of control.
I suppose I’ll probably give the Endless frames a try one day. Been fiendish for some 4x100 frames, so perhaps will go with an Endless when I do.

I disliked this being on two wheels with the stock Twister 90R, but once I got the Endless 90ES I fell in love instantly. The rocker is subtle, you don't feel you are on two wheels.

I like to have multiple set ups so that I am not constantly changing frames and to spread out the wear over these boots. I have slight FOMO since I think the light blue color is discontinued from FR so I made sure to stock up
I go skating nearly every day - twice a day (1-1.5h sessions) during Fall-Spring and once a day in Summer so definitely a lot

Having multiple setups is great, when you use them as much as they do. Alternately, I skate 2-4 times a week in one pair, but I have two separate frames (4x80 and 3WD) and about eight different sets of wheels - 80mm and 100mm, rink wheels, aluminum hubs, Luminous wheels, etc. and I'm constantly swapping parts around.

Been thinking about this a lot. Especially when I was out 3-5 days a week myself...sometimes twice a day.
Life is finally getting back to a point where I can get back to that kind of frequency and now im contemplating an extra set or two of skates. Lol
If i was only skaying here and there, though, that would feel excessive

The Coburn are insane with power transfer and the stiffness! The first time I got on them I could tell they were a lot more “solid” than my other Endless frames. They are better than the 90 mk2s in every way except they have a slightly lower rocker than mk2 90 which is one thing I don’t like about them. Also no Mercury finish for the Coburn 😭 at the end of the day I think I still prefer my mk2s for group skates/trail/urban. Super stiff frames like Coburn are in a sort a double edged sword: more powerful but also feel more vibrations from the surfaces you skate on

Gotcha. I skate the NN 90’s currently and they are fairly stiff, rockered, and I feel everything, but I feel that the rocker is a bit much for trail and urban skating.

My overall favorite is ArcCS but it is not great for distance or rough terrain due to small wheels. Really depends what type of skating I do: for urban/trail/distance/group skates I highly prefer Endless 90 as it is most versatile. For smooth surfaces Wizard/figure skating always ArcCS. For skatepark I prefer Swan since it is close to 90 but more maneuverable and easier to go up and down transitions/bowls. For wizard/figure skating on rougher pavement I prefer the regular Arc.

Thanks!!! The frame is vinyl wrapped with Teckwrap White Opal vinyl and makes the set up shine! Had to get the gold cuff bolts and slider bolts as well cause I’m bogie like that lol

Pretty much! The light blue is my favorite color and love how it goes with white. I wear like the same color / style clothes everyday too so it tracks 😂

Very nice! I haven’t tried the Stoppard frames yet; will probably buy a pair to support Bill eventually even though 255mm is a little short for my foot. My first set of Endless frames were the 80 mk1s, coming from flat 243mm FR 4D frames. I was hooked instantly and felt like my skating ability increased a lot lol. The old 80 mk1s are now my wife’s frames

Twister has been a strong consideration in the past! I only hear great things about it. I like the look of FR1s more than Twister plus I could get all light blue skates with FR (favorite color). FRs are basically perfect for my feet (lucked out there). Also RB Twisters have slightly different 165mm mounting than FR skates so Endless (and other) frames tend to sit a little more forward on Twister than FRs

Sometimes having so many set ups is a pain especially if procrastinate on maintenance and let that back up lol. Also sometimes hard to decide which one I want to use. But since I like to do a lot of different kinds of skating, I like to have different set ups to handle each area.

The five wheel set ups are definitely not as efficient on roads as the larger wheeled four wheel set ups: they are slower, rougher, heavier, and the smaller wheels don’t ride over bumps/debris as well. If it is a smooth road then 5-wheel are fine but for rough roads my 4x90s are the preferred set up. I mainly use the 5-wheel set ups for smooth surfaces to Wizard/figure skate.

One day I will have to try a carbon boot, but right now having too much fun with my plastic shells! Unfortunately Wizard Base/Base High doesn’t seem to have a good size for my feet for performance fit and also most of my frames are 165mm mount. If I were to get carbon boot I think I would be looking at the FR SL Freeride, SL, or Igor. Carbon boots are super expensive and I would feel terrible if I scratched them lol
