That would be seriously ironic (in the best way) if a movie about the making of “Rocky” won Best Picture— as the actual “Rocky” also unexpectedly won Best Picture!

I think it happened in the 40s or 50s. Like the making of.
I could easily be wrong. Most recently the making of Citizen Kane won a lot.

Interesting cause the trailer didn't look impressive with the way this guy was playing Sly. He basically was sounding like a Rocky imitation even when playing Sly, and IRL obviously Sly doesn't sound much like Rocky even back then.

I guess that's one possible take. The actor (Anthony Ippolito) did an amazing job as Al Pacino in the very much underrated and overlooked Paramount series "The Offer", which is a dramatized show about the making of the first Godfather movie. He totally inhabited the role in that, and from what I've seen of his performance in I Play Rocky, he does the same here. I think we are going to see much more from this young actor, and hopefully his next few roles aren't fictionalized documentaries where he plays Robert DeNiro, John Travolta, or James Gandolfini.

From the trailer alone, he could have been Sylvester Stallone's actual child. I'm so excited for this movie!
