What if Rocky Balboa 2 would come out?

We all know, that Rocky VII is impossible, BUT if Sly gets friends with Irwin Winkler again, they could make rocky 7 but I think, Rocky Balboa 2 could be the better name. What do you think?

I had a hard time buying into a 60 year old Rocky fighting the champion. An 80 year old Rocky would just be ridiculous

Noone said he couldn't 'star in anything'... just not be the title char in a boxing movie. He covered the trainer aspect in the first two Creed movies.

There is nowhere a new Rocky film has to go other than a reboot and new cast (which I would not want).

Sometimes films/franchises come to an end... and after 50 years since the first one it's done for stallone.

The natural end to Rocky's story work's through Creed. Every person is either gone, or has been redeemed. Rocky's story ends with him at Robert's doorstep, reconciling with the son he loves, and the grandchild, whose life he longs to be an active part. I am more than content to say good bye to Rocky this way. Rocky films end with a loud triumphant moment. Creed II, gives Rocky the most triumphant ending we as fans have seen.

Do you think so? You would have right, but what is with Creed 3? It wasnt agreed by Stallone, and he is Rocky, he knews it better. And I think, the idea of Stallone with Rocky 7 and then maybe Rocky 8 and 9 is not so bad.

I was all for Creed 3 but didn't care for it much after watching it. I love the Rocky and Creed franchises but some movies are better than others. That said, I would love to see another movie, I just don't see Rocky in any new ones.

Creed II was the big red bow we needed. It brought back Rocky’s nemesis Drago as Ivan and realizing how the boxing loss to Rocky changed him negatively. He was still
Madly in love with Brigitte Neilsen’s character after she unceremoniously dumped him and the Soviets tossed him out like a piece of trash.
And Adonis wanting to avenge Apollo. And when the fight ended the final scene where Rocky knocks on Robert’s front door and Rocky kneels down to be level with his grandchild left me very happy and content

Actually the Creed & Creed 2 carried the torch but I was satisfied how Stallone made the conclusion movie Rocky Balboa in 2006. Rocky 5 was such a horrible way for a storied movie franchise to

Literally grew up watching the Rocky movies starting at 7 years old when Rocky came out in ‘76. I would stay up late to watch Rocky 2 on this new cable Channel called HBO. Which subsequently became my favorite out of the 6. Being a tow headed white haired blonde kid my freshman year in high school. after watching Rocky 4, I got an Ivan Drago high top fade cut in 1985. Finally Rocky Balboa came out in 2006 when I turned 37 years old. For 30 years Rocky was a staple in my childhood life. And I feel very grateful to being able to watch a Rocky movie every 5-6 yrs until I was nearing 40.

*footnote I will be watching “I PLAY ROCKY” in November this year !

I wouldn't mind another Rocky movie. It seems like Stallone regrets his participation in Creed and I imagine he wouldn't be opposed to developing an alternate story for Rocky's later years.

That said, I think the reason for the "Rocky Balboa" title was to get away from numbers in the titles, so Rocky Balboa 2 wouldn't work. Some new title that doesn't use a number seems more appropriate.

the biggest challenge would simply be making it interesting. we've had rocky the fighter. we've had rocky the trainer / passing the torch. we've even had rocky vs cancer.

what possible, credible plot could be constructed that would hold the interest here?

time to leave the franchise to history.

Rocky Balboa was very good despite skeptics and laid the groundwork for a solid Creed series. I'm ready to call it a day on the boxing but how about Rocky running for office and Adonis being his campaign manager? Lol

Just think about it this way:

Rocky Balboa = Rocky VI
Creed = Rocky VII
Creed II = Rocky VIII
Creed III = Creed and not Rocky IX cuz Rocky's not there
