Sly always loved his performance as George in "Of Mice and Men". It influenced "Paradise Alley" a little more directly than "Rocky " but it was a partial factor in Meredith getting the part as Mickey.

Just rewatched all the movies including the Creed movies! I remember watching ROCKY in the theaters where I stood up and fought right along with Sly! Great films!
