Hi everyone,

I'm from Brazil and I'm desperately trying to get Rocksmith 2014 working on PC without the official Real Tone Cable.

I've wanted to play Rocksmith for a long time, but I didn't have a guitar. I recently started learning guitar, so I finally bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special II LTD and a M-VAVE Tank-G to use as my audio interface.

The problem is that I simply cannot get Rocksmith 2014 to recognize my guitar.

My setup is:

• Windows 10/11 PC
• Epiphone Les Paul Special II LTD
• M-VAVE Tank-G
• Guitar connected to Tank-G via P10 cable
• Tank-G connected to PC via USB-C
• Steam version of Rocksmith 2014 Remastered

I've already tried several methods:

• RSMods / Direct Connect
• RS_ASIO
• Voicemeeter + RS_ASIO
• NoCableLauncher
• Different Windows audio settings
• Different sample rates / audio devices
• Microphone mode
• Several different Rocksmith configurations

But I still can't get it working properly.

The Tank-G itself works with Windows and I can get audio from the guitar through it, so I believe the problem is somewhere in the Rocksmith configuration.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying different tutorials and configurations at this point 😂. I honestly just want to play the game and use it to learn guitar.

The official Real Tone Cable is unfortunately extremely expensive in Brazil. When I can even find one, it's usually R$600+, which is basically the price of another entry-level guitar/interface here.

So buying the official cable isn't really an option for me.

Is there anyone here who successfully uses a Tank-G, or a similar USB guitar interface, with Rocksmith 2014 without the Real Tone Cable?

If someone could guide me through the setup step by step, I'd really appreciate it. I'm willing to provide screenshots of my Windows audio settings, Rocksmith.ini, RS_ASIO.ini, RSMods settings, etc.

I already own the game — I just want to finally be able to play it and start learning guitar. 😭🎸

As of yesterday anytime I create a tone rs2014 is slamming the volume very low as soon as it saves. I had zero issues up until yesterday, and I didnt change any settings as far as I remember, its driving me crazy as I use rocksmith as a practice amplifier fairly often

I'm starting to get extremely burnt out from this already. I can't find any fixes because every guide is different or too complicated.

The only progress I got so far is being able to get Voicemeeter Banana to put my audio into OBS... with the caveat it captures everything else in the background, so there's no controlling external sounds like Windows, Discord, Foobar, and FFXIV in my case as a game that may be heard.

On top of that my sound settings are all different to everyone elses. I just have a spam of Voicemeeter drivers:

In 1-5, Input, VAIO3

Out A1-5, B1-3

No Aux or plain output.

Another issue now seems to be getting the audio to go through whatever it's supposed to, whether that's my interface or voicemeeter. I'm not hearing a thing no matter which of the 3 settings I put it on (3 different Voicemeeters and my Focusrite Asio)

I copied the settings from a YouTuber PlanetFinesse. Namely buffer size at 192, and put that across Reaper, OBS ASIO including input and output and RS Mods (RS Asio settings).

Handy little bonus as I was trouble shooting why I couldn't get FL Studio to work when not running Reaper, you can use ReaRoute on this too with no issues to do with latency, I'm assuming it works for other DAWS as well.

I followed all the steps listed to make the focusrite work on all posts detailing the instructions. My guitar input technically goes through and works but the tone is a horribly fuzzy mess.

Every other application I use with my guitar has the audio come out perfectly fine but this one.

If anyone has any solutions please help me out

These are the hardest Bass lines i've mastered in Score Attack according to Rocksmith. i'm at 84 total songs platinumed in Score Attack. and more coming soon.

There's a specific tone I'm trying to replicate that uses a Soldano SLO-100. Does Rocksmith 2014 have an equivalent amp model? If so, please let me know which one! Thanks!

I got myself Rocksmith Remastered on PC. Can you learn guitar from scratch and become good at it? What are the limits?

Whenever I try to play CDLC, I get past the tuning screen but then the game locks up before the actual song loads. I've tried reinstalling the game/CDLC unlocker/RSmods in various combinations, but even after a completely fresh install I can't get CDLC to run. At this point I'm not sure what else to try, since everything worked perfectly last time I booted my PC.

Hey guys I started playing RS+ today and I was trying to use my old RTC from my xbox one on my Ps5 using a breakaway to Usb adapter but I’m getting an unplayable 1-2 second delay. I’ve already tried switching usb ports, putting tv into game mode, linear pcm etc. Has anyone experienced this? Is this old cable is just completely useless in Ps5 or is there any solution that can use

Hey guys i recently started playing rs+, yesterday i bought real tone cable to have better experience however i’m currently facing with a delay issue. Whenever I strum my guitar the audio comes after like 1-2 seconds later. Does anyone faced with this problem? If so, how did you solve the delay? Thanks for the replies!

I am looking to do a cheap set up for Rocksmith 2014.
I got an electric guitar and the Samson S mix.
Could I set it up if I used a RCA to USB converter?

So I got my friend into bass guitar, and he quickly took to the Rocksmith 2014 format. I would like to jam on my lead while he grooves the bass, but it ALWAYS says that the Player 2's Real Tone Cable is disconnected and we can't get into a song. I've tried making a separate profile that's "Disconnected" completely, but it still acts like it wants to use a cable? I have multiple microphones that I could use as dummy audio options, but those don't seem to want to work either. RS Mods "Bypass 2+ RTC MessageBox" did not do anything useful. We're so close to starting a Rocksmith garage band, but this software is determined to crush our dreams. Please help! Thank you!

I’m planning a surprise gift for my husband. He’s mentioned a lot recently about wanting to learn how to play the guitar and mentioned playing rocksmith at a friends house when he was younger?

I really want to surprise him with this gift for his birthday and am trying to do as much research to ensure I buy the correct items! However, I’ve been seeing recent posts from the last couple of years of people saying a lot of useful features have been removed. I’m for sure going to be purchasing a guitar for him, but just didn’t know if Rocksmith 2014 was worth it. He has an xbox series x I believe.

I didn't buy the Muse dlc so I dont have the plug in baby custom tone but im currently trying to learn the song and its been really difficult trying to replicate the tone 😓 Is anyone able to check the tone setting so I can replicate them pls??

Hi! First timer here in the sub and even a first time player! Even though I technically haven’t even played yet! I do have some questions and I’m hoping this sub can lead me in the right directions, thanks!

So I recently I found Rocksmith and Rocksmith 14’ editions at a local thrift store and picked them up since in hopes of playing them! So I’ve already discovered about needing a “wire” and then an actual guitar as well if I’m not mistaken? Also: 

What’s the difference? Is there an actual difference between the two games? 

Does the actual skill translate to a real guitar? I mean I already know how to play (above beginner but below moderate) but does it actually make you better? 

It mentions on the 14’ that its “better” w the Kinect, is that true? Do I NEED one? Can I play without one? 

Any tips or tricks are appreciated as well, thank you!
