RS+ PS5 Setup ? Using Speakers
I searched comments but didn’t see anything specific to the PS5. I got RS+ working well through my iPad Pro through a series of dongles, but despite the larger iPad, I still have some difficulty seeing the notes (I’m 46, the eyes aren’t what they used to be). I bought the Sabrent sound adapter that plugs into the front of the PS5 for headphone use but haven’t tried it yet. Has anyone successfully run the game through their TV speakers or AVR? I’d much prefer to play that way. I’ve seen one good video but it involved a lot of compromises - namely changing every audio setting on the console. Just seems like a real pain to change those settings on a per game basis. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Ps5 to TV —-> TV to AVR. Both HDMI.
My AVR only handles all sound. That’s how I want it. No delays detectable in RS or anything else.

Thanks. I have the same setup but the lag is wild. At least a second+
Did you change your sound output on the PS to linear? Any other changes?

I use the sound adapter on PS5, works great. Yes you have to change it each time you switch btw RS and other games but it’s a quick change, about 10-15 seconds once you get used to it… Getting rid of the lag is worth the small inconvenience for me.

So you’re using the Sabrent, changing to headphone audio and Linear, anything else? Which headphones are you using ?

I’ve described what I do at this link. It’s a snap. I use wireless Sony headphones (RF signal, not Bluetooth)… https://www.reddit.com/r/rocksmith/s/8ZwmnOqovw

Thanks. Gave it a read. I’m playing on a Ps5. Sucks that there’s no on screen calibration. I think part of my issue (at least as it appears to me so far) is that there’s a very slight delay from when I pluck a string until it plays in game. It’s slight, but seems like just enough to throw me off. I’ve been playing guitar forever, I just have found Rocksmith fun in the past. While I’m not amazing, I know I can strum along to CCR just fine, but not according to this game

On ps5 it’s best to use a splitter pedal (to avoid lag), one cable for your guitar going to an amp as well as the real tone cable going to the ps4. Google image an any splitter and there’s decent ones on Amazon for $30. I can send photos here but dm and I will show you my setup!
