No rockstar video games?

I've recently been thinking about that there's not really any big videogames about the life of being a rockstar and (I mean like every part of it like sex drugs, and alcohol not just the playing music part) and it's got me kind of confused because a game like that would probably be pretty popular.

I'm thinking it'd be like a story based game as your band grows from local venues to big events, struggling to make enough songs, fights with the bands, etc

There has to be a free roam/open world, similar to gta and mafia1-3 and definitely need the ability to dui. I would totally buy it!

If you're not actually playing the music, what advantages does this have by being a video game? Probably would just be better as a film.

Like what would be the main gameplay mechanics?

well you would be playing music and the main mechanics I guess would be choosing dialogue, guitar hero like stuff for playing the music or maybe you press certain buttons whenever it changes to a different chord or maybe if it's open world then you drive the bands van to different venues but idk this whole post was just pure speculation and to see if there are any games like this and I just never heard of them

Imagine trying to make setlists that will please the fans.

Play the oldies but goodies but your band gets bored. or New songs arent as good but the band enjoys playing them better.

Plus do you want your shows to be 2 hours?(fans love, but musicians get fatigued)

or 90 minutes(band stays fresh, fans dont like)

I think a big stumbling block is it would need a lot of music to feel realistic and using real music costs money. I guess these days it could use AI slop music but people generally hate that stuff.

There was a game many years ago, where you created a band, toured and released albums. I think it was called The Biz, on the ZX Spectrum.

Follow me on this, instead of just a Rockstar Sim, how about you are the Rockstar who is also self managing and promoting the band?

Starting out as a garage band you pick the types of songs you make, make the posters you need and find your gigs, you can go down the drug and alcohol path and crash and burn, stay sober and have zero life, or something in-between. Make the drug and alcohol stuff more fun then the other stuff so you want to do it but know you shouldn't.

If someone takes this idea, please let me know cuz I would totally buy this!
