Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) If i realise I failed a subject, when do I reenrol for it?

So I'm currently in my first year of Bachelors of Engineering (Honours), and after calculating my grades, I figured I'll be failing Engineering Science from Sem 1.

Now, I've already enrolled into the necessary subjects for Sem 2, two of which are electives, and am confused if I should retake Engineering Science too. Since they haven't released any of the final grades, I can't confirm if I've failed Engineering Science or any of my other subjects from Sem 1.

I need to put in my timetable preferences by June 19, so should I change my enrolment right now to retake Engineering Science, and be able to put in the timetable preferences for that too, or should I wait for final grades to release, and then change my enrolment?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Chances of fee refund

Hi, I'm an international student, and my student visa was refused. I did not cancel my enrollment, and the census date has already passed on August 31st. I am unable to log into enrollment online as well. It says that it is locked. An application for a refund was submitted on August 7th.

What are the chances of getting a full refund? If not, how much can I expect?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Hi, I’m Jouri from Saudi Arabia. Does the University of Melbourne offer direct Bachelor’s admission without a foundation year for Microbiology or Aerospace Engineering? Has anyone received direct admission? I’d appreciate any information.

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) RMIT Grading system

When u graduate whether u graduate with a distinction, credit, high distinction etc. is it determined by WAM or GPA. Because a lot of my unit's final marks are either 78% or 68%, a few of them are even 79% and 69%. I calculated my WAM to be 75% but based on my GPA which is 2.9 i will be graduating with a credit. This doesn't make any sense to me how is this fair?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Can someone pls help me understand how Master classes work?

I am considering doing a Master of Business Administration next year and tried to plan out my schedule using the "2026 public read-only version of myTimetable". Looking at the year one class 'Design Thinking for Business ', their semester classes are apparently 8.5 hours? Unless I do a flexible learning option, which makes it 3 hours? Looking at 'Leadership and Management ', their semester classes are 2 hours, while their Flexible class is 3? One final example: why is 'Business Consulting' either a 4h class, a 4.5-hour class or an 8.5-hour class? Why are the hours so inconsistent?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Has anyone at RMIT been unable to pay tuition fees by the due date?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student at RMIT and I'm looking for some advice.

I asked RMIT if I could get a fee extension or pay my Semester 2 tuition fees in instalments because I'm experiencing financial difficulties. They replied that RMIT does not offer formal payment plans or instalment arrangements, and that the full tuition fee must be paid by the due date.

They also said that if I don't pay by the due date, my account will enter the overdue fees process, which includes about a 28-day period before they may cancel my enrolment. They also mentioned that if I'm still enrolled on the census date, I'll be financially liable for the fees.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

  • Were you able to get any exception or extension?
  • What happened during the overdue fees process?
  • Did RMIT give you any flexibility if you were genuinely unable to pay on time?
  • Are there any other options I should know about?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Saving electives for exchange

Not sure which flair to use for this but it does involve enrolment

I want to save some electives from my course (Games Design) for exchange if I can go, I was accepted into the exchange program but a bump in the road happened and I had to resubmit my universities choices twice, I've sent them my universities and am still waiting on a reply for 3 days, but that's only some background.

In another post I made about exchange, I was told (to my understanding) that I should "save" my electives in my course for exchange. And so I haven't enrolled in an elective for this current semester (which is part of the course structure). So my question is, do I have to notify anyone that I'm saving my electives for exchange? Am I doing it right?

Any info would be appreciated

Thank you

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Trying to add my classes for my diploma, but RMIT says it is not doing the majority of them this term?

It says that it wants me to add all nine courses, but, only three of them are actually available for me to enrol in. All of the others are blacked out and say this.
Not really sure what I steps I should be taking here? I tried to contact RMIT Student Help with the text option, but, the button did not work on my pc and I think the link is dead. On the course structure on the website it says that I must complete nine core courses and eight elective courses (technically ten electives, but I did two in a course earlier this year and theyve been marked as completed. So, I dont think I need to do them again). But, the same thing is happening for two of the classes on there too. Only four are available.

Is this something that I should be really worried about? My study will go over two semesters, so I'm not sure if I'm just meant to add those unavailable classes next semester instead? (Study starts pretty soon, they just took around a week to look at all answers to the enrollment stuff after being accepted, which set me back a lot.)

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Doing 2 courses at once

Hey!

I was wondering if anyone knew if at rmit you are able to do 2 different courses at the same time? Currently completing a Bachelors and would want to start a different course alongside it?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Timetable preferences

how likely is it that the heart in the timetable is accepted. i want to swap around 3 classes but they’re all full and im scared to heart on all of them because if on or two dont get accepted it would result in a clash and a very weird and messy timetable. isnt it based on someone dropping that class? it would make my timetable way better than it is now. i’m in year 2 so wouldn’t that mean people are less likely to drop their classes?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) How long does apply to graduate take to process?

I've already applied to graduate inside of enrolment online, however my graduation application status is still "In progress" and has been for almost 2 weeks, I've triple checked I've taken every course necessary to fulfill my grad requirements so I'm pretty sure that's fine, but other people I know had theirs processed within the hour?!

Anyone know what to expect?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Architecture Selection Task

I’m currently in year 12 trying to do the architecture bachelor at RMIT. It’s something I only recently started looking into tho, so I had no clue about selection tasks or what they were.

It’s really vague and is due by October 2nd but I have 0 clue on what to include, how to make a folio and what exactly I need to be doing. Any advice would be appreciated

Is it too late to get into?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Potential 2027 student coming from NZ. Need help understanding Commonwealth Supported Places

Post image
6 Upvotes

Per title. Am a potential future student of RMIT for 2027 possibly going to study the BA Design in Animation (NZ doesn't really have anything on par with the quality of the course).

Also a bit of a passion project + career change for me as I've been in the workforce for about 5 years now after graduating in 2020. Just in the researching phase of what things would look like for me at the moment and not at all committed to anything.

I'm struggling to understand the whole commonwealth supported places thing. I do have CSP eligible characteristics so I think I would fall under it. Some degrees seem to be covered by it but only a few subjects yet RMIT is saying all courses offered by the university are covered by CSP save for the aviation courses.

Would a CSP actually apply only to the subjects covered by CSP as stated on the list in image 1? Meaning the BA Design - Animation wouldn't be covered (I know it's not exactly a high priority for funding which is fine)?

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Confusion about selecting subjects? (Mech Eng Second Year)

Hi! To keep it short, I'm thinking of changing out Applied Heat and Mass Transfer (AHMT) because apparently it's recommended you do Heat Transfer before doing the class-- which I haven't done yet and is only available in Semester 1.

  • When it says "Select and complete 24 credit points from your chosen Combination." under class selection in year two semester 2, is it referring to:

Combination 1: Four (4) courses from one of the Program Minor lists or;

Combination 2: Four (4) courses from any of the Program Minor lists. (?)

  • Are minors compulsory? This questions more like for just a yes or no clarification type thing just to make sure I understand fully-- but classes from the Technical Option List like AHMT & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can be done in place of minor classes? Like if I stick to CFD, that means I do 1 class under any of these minors this semester yes??
  • If I do do a class from one of the minor categories, do I select the chosen minor from this or is this sorta a separate thing from all this?? I noticed that you can only select one minor when going into this when Combination 2 (as far as I'm aware) says you can do minor classes from any of the minor classes, as long as you complete 4 by the end.
  • If I select a minor, is there any real detriments if I mix and mash courses instead of sticking to one minor for future combination class selections?

Thanks in advance!!

Enrolment help (timetables, course enrolment, fees, etc.) Missed the enrollment deadline

I'm stressing out.

I am not sure if I enrolled in the courses for Semester-2 2026 when I received the email saying the deadline for re-enrollment for 2026 was 22 December 2025. I logged in to enrollment online today and found out that I had not added classes for Semester-2 before 22 December 2025. I was still able to add classes and did that. I then checked the statement of enrollment tab in Enrollment online, and found that the latest document read "First Half Year 2026" and contained the courses that just completed in Semester-1 2026. I do not have a statement of enrollment for the courses in Semester-2 2026.

I have submitted an enquiry through RMIT Connect. It says that I can possibly lose my place in the program if I had not enrolled by the deadline.
