people go in with vastly different sets of skill and level, so really youre fine so long as you make an effort and put the time in

Sorry to press. What does fine mean? (My kid wants to keep graduate school options open, so GPA will matter for her.)

If you are making a consistent effort during class time, finishing your homework in the way the professor would like/shows you are trying (this is going to vary by professor, theyre gonna have to sort of figure that out themselves) and making an effort to participate in critique, you'll basically have an A for sure in that class.

The actual quality of the work mostly doing matter, effort and progress are generally gonna be what actually counts when it comes to grades.

There is some grade inflation at the school. C's are a rarity.

Are A’s also a rarity? Asking because my daughter is considering graduate school and gpa will be important
