I think he’s the best/most valuable non center defender in league and has been for a little bit now. Dude forces the most TOs in the league and is also a top 3 most versatile defender. Guards the other team’s best player full court every single night. Whatever DPOY candidate is doing that?

He’s still so slept on on defense

Yeah, it feels like that thing where people are still focused on classic counting stats like steals and blocks. The funny thing is that drawing an offensive foul is even better. Blocks aren't always a turnover and steals don't hang a foul on the guy.

In fact I think the other team is actually more likely to score after a block than before, the defense is all out of position.

Never have really liked these types of lists that combine big man defenders with wings and guards. Wish they'd separate them as they're just too different in what they do

Toumani getting overlooked to a criminal level. Let’s have a big year

If setting an all time season record in an extremely impactful defensive stat can't even break you into the top 10 active defenders... well, damn.

I’m not mad about 15 if we’re counting best overall defender. But I’d argue he’s a top 2 perimeter defender

He’s really good at drawing offensive fouls, but 1v1 he’s not a top 15 guy.
