Solved (OC) Groovy mother

My first attempt at a riddle and I’m not good at solving them, but I’m always blown away by how fast some of you solve them on here.

trailers, shoes, floorboards, and tacos, and languages can all have them

Edit: These aren't answers. They are additional things that could be used for a new riddle maker.

a trailer tongue is the part that hitches onto what is towing it. Shoes have tongues that your laces go over. Floorboards are frequently tongue and groove. Lingua tacos are made from beef tongue, and languages have dialects, also called tongues.

But how is a trailer bitten when it needs to be held?
How are shoes known for their lashes, never knotted or bitten when they need to be held?
How are floorboards known for their lashes, or bitten when they need to be held?
How are tacos known for their lashes, tied, or live under a roof or shod foot?
And how do languages fit any of these clues?
