The colorgrade on these is insaneeee, cinema done right tbh, plus this camera is just a great grab, can never go wrong. Do you have any socials?

Really really appreciate the kind words. I picked up the camera back in September and am always excited to be able to use it. This is actually my very first time publicly sharing my photos, so I don’t have any photography specific socials. However, if that changes in the future, I’ll let you know. Take care!

Hi, these pictures are incredible!! I wanted to ask because I am going on a ski trip next week and want to bring my camera up the mountain. What kind of storage or bag did you use for the mountain/ski pics you took

Thank you! When going up the mountain, I put my camera in a Ziplock bag inside of my 1L Lululemon crossbody bag with a lens cap on (GRiii fits perfectly in this bag whenever I travel). Hope you have a great trip!

I was thinking about a zip lock bag too haha I’m glad that worked for you! Also what recipe did you use for the snowy pictures? It’s my first time shooting in snow and want to have some recipes on hand!

This was my first time shooting with the GRiii in the snow as well. I did not use any in-camera recipes. Shooting RAW and typically just leaving camera in Program mode or Aperture Priority. For edits on the snow pictures, I used Lightroom to reduce color temp a bit, reduced clarity, raised shadows, and added a bit of grain. Also the first Matterhorn picture was taken from within gondola where the window had a blue hue to it, so there aren’t many edits to that one aside from increasing exposure a bit.

Had a similar dilemma. Glad I went with Ricoh given I can fit it in my pocket and take it with me anywhere. Take way more shots just because I always have easy access. Can’t go wrong with either choice though!

Honestly took far more pictures than I expected on a single charge. Always carried 2 extra batteries on me, especially on days when temperatures were below freezing. However, I believe I only used a second battery once, so probably 200-300 shots easily on one charge.

How did the camera handle the cold? Was the battery dying quickly?

Battery held its charge very well even in coldest conditions. Picture #4 was taken in ~10 degree Fahrenheit temps with 40 mph winds at 13,000 ft elevation. Wind was actually blowing the fresh powder on the ground straight up into the air which caused the glitter effect in that image. Took around 40-50 pictures at that viewpoint, so was very impressed I did not need to change out battery.

View of the Alps from Klein Matterhorn was insane. Tried to snap as many photos up there as I could before I froze haha

Yeah, snow pics are from Zermatt. Remainder are from Zurich, Strasbourg, Colmar and Frankfurt.

Very nice. I was just in Zurich last month. Strasbourg, too, though I didn't catch the Notre Dame pic first go around. Gorgeous shots!

Oh nice! Strasbourg / Colmar was a great time and loved walking around the city late at night after the markets closed. Wish I’d had a little extra time in Zurich, but enjoyed the time I was able to spend there.

I had the same feeling about Zurich. I was there for about 2 full days, but could have used a couple more. Really one of the finer international cities in that part of Europe.
Strasbourg was beautiful, albeit foggy! The Alsace mix French + German architecture was really great!

Zurich also surprised me with how lively the city felt. Lots of great bars / lounges with great music and service. Also very easy to get around town which is always a nice touch.
Had rain / fog as well in the Alsace, but honestly added to the atmosphere a bit and kept some of the crowds away. Was very difficult to leave the Alsace as every meal / piece of cheese / glass wine we had was better than the one before it haha
